Mark and Ted's Excellent Adventure in Drama

Thanks for everybody jumping in and helping make this happen. ...

Brandon, I owe you some PMs with files and apologize for being out of touch. Have had my hands full with family issues here along with my own computer being down since I got here. I'm on my mom's iMac at the moment. I'm having to cobble together a return transportation plan that involves a greyhound bus, Amtrak and a taxi in addition to Southworst airlines. I feel like John Candy.

Thanks buddy, been a little worried about stuff lately, since we've been out of touch.

Everyone in crew should have received their call sheets for Tuesday through Friday by now. Saturday and Sunday hasn't been scheduled yet (and I won't be on set Sunday as I have to leave for a trade show) but this should be locked down by early in the week. Sunday will likely be only 2nd unit shots (no principals) only.

Each day is subject to change based upon the coverage completed from the previous day but what you have received thus far is as good as we can plan out for now.

I believe that cast call sheets will go out tomorrow, but there may be a last minute change in one of the roles due to a scheduling conflict.

We have a lot of scenes to cover, and some of the setups are pretty big and involve a lot of lighting, but it looks like a 'doable' schedule to me.

Actually, the Cast Call Sheets went out, too. I just forgot to CC you (Kevin), Mark and Ted. There were no changes from the ones I sent to you earlier, though. I did tell Ayla that we were working on getting her out of there by 3:00 pm on Friday.

Pre Pro...

...Yeah, ain't it fun?

Where else do you get to work on something to the point where you are sure you have finally nailed it down, just to receive an email or telephone call that throws all your hard work right out the window.

Now you know why the producer gets a top billing credit.

They earned it!

Yeah, it's a blast when LA Film calls you a day before you shoot and say the permit didn't go through - that they never got the insurance information...

I figured that after 233 pages of posts on this thread, I should probably get my first message in.

Just thought you'd all be happy to know that I have successfully made it through a trip to Colorado without breaking any bones (which is somewhat miraculous). That being said, let's make a f*ckin' movie!

Hi Guys,

Working on a revised shooting schedule for Friday due to talent availability issues. The down side to my solution is that we will have one scene to shoot night for day and that means extending the rentals on the HMI sources as well as extending the shooting day for crew (I am hoping to keep it to about a 12 hour day). The updated schedule just got sent out to Mark, Ted, Blaine and Tim. If Tom or David sees this post, please email me to let me know your absolute earliest arrival on set for next Friday so that I can be certain that I haven't been too optimistic in your commute times.

Man, I really hate scheduling!

Hey Brandon,

Right now it looks like crew call won't change but it may now be a 14 hour day. A couple of the scenes got shuffled around in order to accommodate the cast availability issues. As soon as it it nailed down, I am sure that Blaine will issue a new call sheet for Friday, but that might not be today. Either way, call time and location remain unchanged, just don't plan any dates for Friday evening cause you might not make it!

Well, guys, I got stranded in Kansas City tonight. That means I'll be catching a flight to San Jose arriving 11:30 a.m. and will have the Bullis-man meet me at the airport. We'll swing by my place and load the gear (I'd come directly to L.A. except my HVX and stuff are in San Jose!) ... So, we'll arrive down there tomorrow evening. Blaine should be picking Ted up and we'll be on the cell phone while on the way down to coordinate.

Tonight I'm going to have champagne at the Marriott Airport hotel with the other losers stuck here in mid-transit.

Brandon, Kyle is not going to be here for the weekend event so I am really going to count on you getting some "Second Unit" shots. Hope you are able to make it at least one day.

Only good thing tonight is that I woke up this morning and realized that my beloved Kansas City Chiefs would make the playoffs ONLY if 1) Kansas City beat Jacksonville; 2) Pittsburgh beat Cinncinatti: 3) The Patriots beat the Titans; and 4) The 49ers beat the Broncos. AMAZINGLY ... all of that came to pass with the last occuring in an overtime win while I was at the airport yelling my lungs out with the other faithful at the Arthur Bryants bar.

So, I'm going to celebrate the New Years tonight. I'll see you TTN folks in L.A. tomorrow evening. Let's go make a f*cking great movie!

Mark
