My idéa for a movie.

Hey guys!

I've had this movie planned for some time. It's about this really old mad scientist who performs a lot of unnessesary surgery and brilliant technological experiments and is generally evil in his ways. He tries to take over the world - or atleast do some very evil stuff - somehow and the one man that can stop him is a genetically engineered soldier. A soldier sent in by a special team.
The script is only in my mind so far so nothing is really concrete. But I'm quite sure about the characters.
What do you guys think of the characters and this idéa?
Here's a pic of them. Keep in mind the costumes are not ready and this is just a test.

Am I laughing? Yes. Should I be? I don't know.

Tell you what, I'll support it as long as the trailer says, "and their only hope rests in ONE MAN," with the deep movie-trailer voice and everything.
 
Yes I'm a big Metal Gear fan so it's largely inspired from that game. But keep in mind that so is Metal Gear inspired from Escape from New York. But I don't intend to make it the same though. For example the antagonist may physically resemble Mantis but is nothing like him as a character.

But tell me, what do you think of how the characters look?
 
Personally, I think theyre a little typical. The whole gas mask look, IMO, was played out when Half Life was released. And the soldier is... well... a soldier is a soldier, theres not much to play with on that character.
 
well to be honest its too metal gear, metal gear came from escape from new york and the great escape but have totally different plot and even scenerios
 
I'm mostly wondering what the difference is, between an idéa, and an idea.

For one thing, your soldier guy probably ought to look more bulky - look at pictures of real-life SEALS and Rangers and Force Recon guys, and note the amount of gear they wear and carry. Right now the LBE and thigh holster are mostly making your guy look skinny; not usually how you want a badass commando guy to look. And, no jeans. Military-style cargo pants, at least - get 'em from a surplus store for cheap.

I guess your brain-fondling trenchcoat dude looks okay, but...why does he wear a trenchcoat and gas mask? And why does he enjoy fondling brains, so much...?

...and from there, it's only a short step, to a Plan.
 
KarateKidde, I have a curiosity... What do you do in the real life? I mean: for living? BTW, what's your favorite cinema? (Can you give some examples?)
 
KarateKid I admire your balls (Not literally) in making this movie but umm...

No offense, but are you for reals?

If you are, is this a comedy?
