Anyone W/ Difficulty Registering for P2 Rebate

I was trying to register my camera on the Panasonic P2 rebate site last night. I entered my info., but when I got to the Model # it said something like the model was not eligible for the rebate (I can't remember the exact words, but that was the point). Under the viewfinder of my cam it says model
AG-HVX200P. And so I got the message. I was concerned about the P at the end (even though I think I remeber reading that they all have this?) so I then entered it without as AG-HVX200. But, the same non-eligible message appeared. I even tried it w/out the dash as AGHVX200 (w/ P and no P). Same thing.

I called the help line and left a message. No word still. Has anyone else dealt with this? Do you happen to know the answer? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

When you entered your serial #, did you include the letter R? If you did, try entering it again without the letter R. I know it tells you this on the form, but I guess I was a bit anxious and missed that part when filling it out too.

Hope this helps.

That happened to me as well. I called Panasonic and it turns out that you can't use a Mac to register the camera. You have to use a PC. Pretty strange but I tried to register it on a PC and it worked first time.

I registered on a Mac about a month ago and it worked fine. I dunno what I was doing differently.

The strange thing si that I was on a Pc, not a Mac. And the message came up before I even put in the serial #??? I don't get it. Well, I guess I'll try again if they don't contact me tomorrow. But, if anyone has any other ideas let me know. Thanks for the responses though.

I had the same problem. I was toild that I had to us a PC to register, I did using Explorer and it accepted my serial number. I haven't received my rebate yet, but I know it worked. I just got a letter asking for an original receipt. Good luck

Yeah, I got a letter asking for my original receipt, too. Is everybody getting this? My letter said something about the serial number being blah blah blah. Maybe they are asking everyone.

I spent $5,600. I'm sure I have the receipt around here somewhere. . .
