Transformers

I got to admit, that trailer was pretty badass. But so was the trailer for The Island. I'm still not sold on it possibly going to be a good movie.

That being said, I'll probably be there opening day. Actually, I'm really looking forward to it. Who am I kidding?

You guys have to remember... THIS IS MICHAEL BAY! He is the world's worst storyteller. He couldn't tell "Three Little Pigs". He has absolutely no concept of how character and story and plot interact. You say "yeah, but who cares? There's going to be transforming robots!". Trust me, this is Michael Bay. He'll find a way to take the soul out of it and after the wow factor settles down, you'll be bored out of your mind. There will be no point. Things will start transforming for no reason. Like toasters. People who make movies like Pearl Harbor don't all of a sudden figure out how to make a compelling drama.

Sheia Labouf or whatever his name is on how Michael Bay directs him: "He doesn't. He doesn't say anything to me. I'm left pretty much to figure it out on my own." A director that doesn't direct his lead actor. Wow.

LMAO....i believe that. i will wait until the second or third week after i can talk to somebody about it.

This guy did the "original" live action transformer tests back in 2000. It was for a Transformer short he was working on but never completed. Above is a link to a page on his site that has many Transformer type videos, both homebrewed and pro.

Thought you might find it interesting.

Bay makes large scale action/popcorn flicks, and thats it....if you expect anything else then its your own fault. I enjoyed many of Bay's films, just b/c they are fun and usually contain high volumes of eye candy.

Spielberg is an executive producer on this. I wonder if that will make a difference or not. As long as Jerry Bruckheimer isn't involved, I'll be happy. His stuff looks slick, but gets old real fast.

75 mill doesnt sound that bad for what i've seen in the trailer. i was thiking it was going to be more around $150 million in which case i think it would probably break even in the box office
