HVX SD music vid

you called it HD Videography on you tube. Still looks pretty good. The 4:3 kinda sucks though. Is that you in the picture? cause if so that's pretty outragious!

Looks cool.

To my eye it looks like anamorphic 16x9 [full height anamorpic]. If so you could upload a letterboxed version in a 4x3 frame [black bars] if this is what you tube is doing with it.

The one small thing I'd say sticks out it is that I'd colour correct the shots of the guy playing the guitar just as they look like tungsten with no colour balance. I know the background would then be bluer but it looks to me out of place with the other footage that looks nicely balanced.

Great work though !!

Pimp, don't forget that the HVX's DVCPRO 50 is some of the best SD out there [almost comparable with digibeta]. Benedaim, shoot some HD for a project soon as it'd be great to see you're stuff up large.

BTW - The spider looks great !!!

Thanks,
Majormorgan

Thanks for all the feedback. Your right about the guitar shots they don't match and i will take more care next time. This wasn't even DVCPRO50 it's actually MINI DV. In regards to uploading with black bars i'm not sure how to do that but i'll check it out, can't be that hard. And as soon as i do some HD i'll post it. Thanks again.

truly awesome to see an Aussie Redback in such quality! (Just need the toilet seat:)

Great to see the quality of the mini dv...I'm actually looking at buying this cam...and making good use of the mini dv...whilst having the option of the HD..you've helped convince me! Thanks mate.

Thanks Mavoz, I can't recommend this camera enough seriously you have to get one. It makes me smile everytime i think of finally getting P2 cards and just to think what can be achieved with this cam in HD...Awesome! I loved the redback comment. Thanks again for your comments

The HVX makes some of the best SD out there. Mini Dv or DVCpro50....

Both are Excellent

White flash transitions

Good work - Your work has an emotional impact.

I liked the white flash transitions - I've been trying to figure out how to do them in Prem. Pro2 without much success - can you share with me how you created them?

Thank u. I edit with Avid Liquid 7, what u do is take 6 frames right before the edit you want to flash into and add to it a brightness & contrast GPU effect. Within that effect use keyframes to control the brightness. That's it.
