CinePorter™ FAQ

God, I'm silly. I find myself watching the teaser and leaning my head around to the left, trying to peak underneath the cloth. I feel like a kid playing mario bros. for the first time on the nintendo.

I hate you Spec-Comm! In a very loving, anxiously waiting way. :)

By the way, what kind of financing is available for the Cineporter, if any? I spent all my money on the rest of my equipment. Depending on when the release is I may or may not have made enough money to pay up front.

Please Please Please come out with the v-mount battery version as well, not just the Anton Bauer one....

The V-Mount kit is in the works. We will likely have to make the plates ourselves unlike the A/B, so it may be some time after the CinePorter Ships.

you are so evil

It's been a tough year, can't I have a little fun? :)

No, really we're here for you guys and we are trying very hard to listen and deliver what you want. The only thing we can't control is how long it takes!

David

Actually, David- the Cineporter now comes with Rem... Get your facts straight :)

About the helicopter blades- It might be a good idea for this to be a remotely controlled button. You wouldn't want your customers getting their fingers chopped off now would you? Would you?
When the button is pressed a release latch can be triggered to allow the cineporter to disengage from the tripod.

Looking forward to some real details
And, though it has been said before, many of us are very much appreciative of you electing to include us in the development process. I know it is a double-edged sword (i.e. people complaining that it's taking too long, etc.), but I believe the resulting product will be better for the consumer and the maker. Better product = Better sales. Or so you hope.

Take care,
Jason

Great!
Another thing for my sound man to complain about.
Do these helicopter blades have silent mode?
The Price isn't going to change because of this modification will it?

When not filming, the helicopter blades may be used to make a kick ass margarita mix for after parties. It will also wack the weeds around your house and keep those hedges nice and trim.

the helicopter blades will also do well to scare off the photographers who get in the way of filming the bride coming down the isle! Darn photographers! They get in the way of everything. :Drogar-Love(DBG): j/k

Hedge trimmer... we never thought of that one. Great idea, we'll put a nice edge on those blades for that!

Now, for a reality check, we are planning to update the web site next week with some real information. As you know, with good news there is alway some bad news, and I want you to be prepared for that. Don't get disappointed yet, I think you'll be happy and we'll be here to answer any questions. :)

David

No. I just help my tongue, since there is obviously no way for me to know  I'll just wait and see.

Am excited about the good news, and can handle the bad news, as long as it isn't tooooo bad (i.e. No cineporter) :)

Jason

Bad news: The cineporter no longer records any footage.

Good news: The cineporter is now your one stop miracle yard tool. It clips hedges, tends the weeds, mixes mulch, cuts the lawn and clears the gutters. No more mess or hassle. Also, there is no gasoline/oil to mix! It runs off of panasonic prosumer batteries! New color options include the standard black finish or the new John Deere green.

Looking forward to the updates david.

well I will take 2 then.....all I have to do is charge a battery.... cheaper than a yardman...and much more efficient than me having to do it myself, plus the wife wouldnt gripe at me anymore...I could blame the cineporter...:dankk2:

Regarding the current 8gb playback limit:
I was wondering what all this entails. Firstly is this possibly due to current firmware limitations of the camera?

2nd, does this mean that if we had a clip that was 16gb long that we would not be able to play the 2nd half of it in the cineporter?

If so, would it be potentially beneficial for the cineporter to be broken into 8gb partitions, or for it to create new clip everytime the 8gb threshold is reached? Or, is that already what you are doing?

3rd-ly, if indeed that "Now with Rem....", how would the 8gig (or whatever it may be at the time of release) limitation effect the ability to do this. (I know I'm fishing for removeable HDD confirmation here )

Thanks,
Jason
