Guns N Roses Is Back, Finally!

It is finally official. Guns N Roses finally delivered the masters of Chinese Democracy last week to Geffen. The album is expected to be released sometime in the next 8-12 weeks. True, it's not really Guns N Roses, but just Axl and a bunch of hired musicians, but still...

As of right now it is already the most expensive album ever produced costing more than $17 million in studio costs, wasted promotion, and advanced payments to band members.

To celebrate the fact that we're getting our first real GnFnR album since Use Your Illusion (1 & 2) since The Spaghetti Incident doesn't count here is my Guns 'N Roses top 10 list (in Callaghan style)

1. Rocket Queen
2. Sweet Child O Mine
3. Patience
4. Welcome to the Jungle
5. Live and Let Die
6. Sympathy for the Devil
7. Mr Brownstone
8. Estranged
9. Civil War
10. My Michelle

Honorable Mentions:
You Could Be Mine
Paradise City
You're So Crazy
Don't Cry
November Rain

Interesting. Wonder what they will sound like after all this time and changes. I think my top 10 would have to be...

01-Welcome To The Jungle
02-Paradise City
03-Sweet Child O Mine
04-You Could Be Mine
05-November Rain
06-Civil War
07-Knockin On Heavens Door
08-Patience
09-Live And Let Die
10-I Used To Love Her

I beleive the official name was coined by Conan for this "G n' R":

Tubby Magoo and the guys who aren't Slash.

Anyways i cant wait for the album, Madagascar was a kick ass track.

Appetite for Destruction is a major contender for the DESERTED ISLAND Album

Guns N Roses kicked major ass. Not many have as much an influence on Rock N Roll than them They're definately a defining moment in Rock History; they sat right in the middle of the end of the Hair Bands as we knew it and the birth of Grunge.

GNR had balls. They were true Rock Stars.

I saw them twice in Concert

Montezuma Hall at SDSU opening for T.S.O.L. and once at SDSU's open air opening for The Cult

Even Got too shake Axl's hand from the front row ! Has anyone here ever heard Slash's Godfather Theme played on guitar ? Pretty cool.

01 Welcome to the Jungle
02 Sweet Child O Mine
03 Paradise City
04 Don't Cry
04 Civil War
05 One in a Million
06 Live and Let Die
07 Rocket Queen
08 You Could Be Mine
09 Think About You
10 You're Crazy

Appetite for Destruction came at such a critical time in my life...when I was finishing high school. It was such a great album. I wasn't crazy about anything they did afterwards....but with Appetite for Destruction, they brought some major skillz. I am skeptical but I hope this long awaited album has something for us....

If history proves right the album will be pulled before it hits the stores. Might as well since Mr. W.A.R. was never the musical genious behind GnR to begin with. I predict overproduced garbage with more than a hint of Narcissism.

If you really like what GnR used to put out (granted, Appetite was a good album but the rest was crap) you should go out and buy Stone Temple Roses *cough* Velvet Revolver's Contraband. it sounds just as -90s as you would expect and is the closest thing you'll ever get to classig GnR.

Just announced... Chinese Democracy has been delayed again.

They are in the mixing stage now but it will not be in March.

Just when I was getting my hopes up.

aah, They've got a concert here in South Africa on 27 April 2007.

yeah, it's not the original band, but the unique voice of Axel is still there!!!!

Is that buckethead guy for real? I just did a google on him and while yeah, I was entertained- the novelty soon wore off and it was just a joke.

Ya, buckethead is for real, no longer a part of GNR though , hes been gone for a while.

Gee I wonder how that didn't work out.

Axel:
Hello.. are you in there. Is there anyone home? Are you f-cking kidding me?

Buckethead (in mumbling voice with a puppet head on his hand):
It's fun to ride on roller coasters and there's lots of fatalaties and you get to live-

Axel:
Okay- buckethead-fuc-it headwhatever your name is- you need to friggin get real for 5 minutes so we can nail down this section. If we're gon-

Buckethead: (begins stroking the decaptiated head puppet against the amp and moaning while rocking back and forth)

Axel:
I'm $%# outta here. When I come back you better be gone. Can I get my 4 million back?

I've seen GNR in concert several times. A few years ago, they had a double headliner with Metallica on New Year's Eve in Orlando... that ****ing ROCKED! :)

I saw them in concert a few months ago. Slash is good, but the guy now filling his shoes is no slouch. His solos were amazing.

The new band is very good as a whole, and Axl stil has what it takes.

The concert was excellent. It goes to show that sometimes you can come back from the ashes.
