What's the best way to play music when you are shooting a music video? A CD player will always play at different speeds, so when you line up the videos in post, the audio lip sync will eventually unsync.
Maybe, but it's not like you're doing the whole thing all in one take. Most videos don't stay on any one person for more than a couple of seconds, right?
(Besides, I've edited a couple of events where the music on the AV system in the recorded footage synced up perfectly with the music files I substituted later.)
You could always take a laptop and play the music from your NLE on set.

I have done it in a weird way. It seemed to work thogh. What I did was tell them to sing the song from begining to end with the camera videotaping them only all the way throgh. Then I had them sing the song again in a difrent setting from begining to end and so on. Then in post It was extreemly easy to sync it and put diff video clips and transitions. I usually do 3 of each. Yes it sux to do that but it garentees perfection. If they feel that it sux just give them the "ull see this will make u look great" speach lol.

Not enough for us to hear a difference, but just enough for it to unsync about a minute in.
So I wanted to know what others used to play the music, so that it was running at a full 100%. I think the laptop would be a good idea if I can hook it up to a good amp.
