Recommended/Essential PC apps or utilities for P2/HVX

Hi guys!

I'm mainly a mac user. I just bought a 13" Sony Vaio Laptop (SZ340FP) for in the field P2 offloading. So far I've downloaded P2 Viewer and I'm planning on buying P2 Genie. Are there any other apps/tools I should consider? I want to make the most out of my investment, it's a Core 2 Duo laptop with 1GB RAM, 120GB HD, FW400, PCMCIA, ExpressCard, shock protection, etc... thinking about DVRACK HD 2...

The apps are good choices and DVRack HD is a must have especially considering it has DVCProHD Encoder with it. (I use all of these)

Then all you need is an External HD formatted FAT32 so you can deliver media to your MAC
 
you will want fw800 not fw400 and more ram than just 1 gb especially if you will be compositing or editing in HD
 
DV Rack doesn't include an encoder -- it includes the DVCProHD Decoder and a Batch Converter to convert MXF files to AVI or QT files. You can't output MXF files or encode non-DVCProHD video to DVCProHD with it.
