We just finished the final cut of this video. It's going to be released on an underground hip hop DVD, I forget which one.

*I realize the dialogue in the intro is really messy, and I'm not a sound guy.

PS: Check out the director's website: www.dawudgaston.com Guess who designed it

Good Job you can have someone remove that buzzing sound I've seen it done or simply just reshoot the dialouge. Just to give the video that polished feeling.

Other then that good job.

Pretty pictures, I admire your work. Might wanna suggest more coverage and variety in the shots to your director though.

Matt, I thought over all you did your with shooting. Editing needs to be tighter. The thing that bugges me was the shot at teh begining with the guy talking, but suppose to be listening. Also the buzz. ADR will sover all of this. It doesnt work and kills the mood. Both scenes are dark, and doesnt needs to have real ambience sound, so the ADR will work perfectly. I think I have seen 3 differnt looks in this 1) Warm, cool, and Dark Poppin. Through me off, I would stick to at most 2 looks. Just makes me confussed and lost in the story. vs. the artist doing his song.

Just some of my personal opinions.

yeah I agree that the nat sound on the beginning cell phone convo is way too loud.... I'm not against using nat sound, just take it down a notch er 3

the shots you guys got are good, I esp like the shots of the rap dudes shooting dice and whatnot..... more coverage and variety would have been nice

not too big on those warm looks, but to each his own

btw, I like your web design skills:beer:

ADR the first bit of dialogue as the contrast and that buzz would be really hard to deal with. You also have a shot of a guy and you can see him talking but don't here him speak. I'm sure an hour would be enough to ADR this all... It does set it up roughly.

I like the video though. NIce work!
