Hey guys, great pix. Thanks for sharing!!!

Brandon, that test shot with Noa is so smooth! Wow! I need to see more examples of that (because, if I remember correctly, you are already pretty smooth at handheld to begin with! Right?)

Looking good guys.

I've done a lot of handheld... so I've gotten better over time... wait till' you see the running footage... the device really shows off it's stuff there! Again, it's not a steadicam (not supposed to be) but for handheld work, it's awesome!

OK guys, I am down and out for a few days and I get back to this thread and there are like 25 new pages of posts!

This single thread must be eating a serious percentage of the bandwidth of the entire site. I am so far behind now that I don't think that I will ever catch back up, so if someone can just point me to any really relevant issues I would be really appreciative, kinda of the "Readers Digest" version would be great.

I have so many things that I had planned on doing this week that instead was devoted to being ill (note to self, I really HATE hospitals). So, if all goes well I will try and sneak in a comment or two on the last lighting setup (FAA field office scene) in the next day or so.

Sorry I missed all the "fun" here and thanks for everything on set; everyone involved in this project has been so kind and understanding when I had to bow out Wednesday AM during our last setup. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with such a great group!

i'm sitting on mark's couch... he just fell asleep watching some 80's romantic comedy. hilarious. i'd take pictures but i might wake him up...

Hey guys, I have another announcement.

It's been brought to my attention that there are already two films named "Broadcast" in Drama Fest.

So I'm changing the name of my film ... see banner for new name.

Hey Kevin, glad to see you back on the boards. Sucks that you took ill.

Yeah, as you know... this thread flies like the wind. And usually carries as much... a bunch of air!

There was some pertinent info and some nice photos. I think Brandon covered them. We did have a party here as the thread cranked over 2000 posts. You can catch the party next week when we topple the 3K mark!

Seriously, I hope that you are back to your usual self soon. (Is that a good thing??? :) )

-Ted

PS - I would like to discuss the shooting schedule when you are up to it. Of course, we'll take care of that on the message group.

Hey Brandon do you like the CamHandle better then the Spyder Brace or do they work good for their own certain situations?

Actually, I like the camhandle a lot for handheld work... I think for pseudo dolly shots the spiderbrace works better, but for straight handheld, I like the camhandle.

I can't wait for that review, b-man. Yeah, the threads been quiet. Nothing big has been happening, really. I've really enjoyed my time out here so far. Mark has been taking me under his wing, and mentoring me. He's a very insightful and intellectual dude, so there is never a boring moment. I'm on the couch sitting next to his son, David, who is playing Need for Speed : Most Wanted. He's cruising the streets wreaking havoc. Hilarious!

Mark is off doing more forensic work in his workroom. I think we're planning on heading to San Francisco tomorrow with Bullis. I'm looking forward to it, this has been a great vacation! We head back Wednesday morning... Mark told me the exact times but once he's done with his work I'll ask him again because I can't quite remember... so if my dad is reading this... I'll be calling you soon!!

Oh yes, and, we're getting that slow-mo footage up soon!! My hd ran out of space trying to unload the p2 card with cinefile so... it's up to Mark now! Stay tuned! And shoot... if you want to know what it's been like for me out here go read this. Comments appreciated! Ted, how are you!?

Damn, this thread is too frickin hard to keep up on. I made a few drunken phone calls to Mark and Ted the other night. Ted must've been sleeping. Did you get my message Ted? You might've not been able to understand me. Jim Beam got my tongue.
