Thanks Kevin, for this very informative thread. Thanks for taking the time to lay out the various facets of your process and work.

Thanks Jason, really glad you are finding this thread useful.

The next few days has me shooting "Threading The Needle", so I will post more here on "Violet" once we start planning the shots for our next set of scenes later in the week.

Huh? First you thought the song was "cool" then you didn't like the song? I'm confused.

LOL... cool stuff because it's a popular song that was on a big show (the Billboard's) lol.

Love that shot there Kevin! Nice nice.

Thanks Brandon, glad you liked the shot.

You should have seen how blue the vertical blinds were reading with all the sun spilling on the back of them. The gold bounce just worked and I was lucky because I didn't have anything big enough that was tungsten balanced to work with. I got lucky on that one, a blue cast would have ruined the color balance that I was working to achieve (look at the BTS image to see how it was reading before the bounce).

Yeah, I can see how much sun was spilling in there... Looks like you were able to counter-act that though and make the shot work! Thanks also for the BTS and the breakdown of the lighting setup! Most educational.

Kevin, how you doing man? I hope that you are feeling better soon.

Thanks again for everything!!!

Can't wait to get back in January!

Sorry for being out of touch for a few days, but doing better now and promise to catch up as soon as possible on some of the last posts.

Charli, glad you like the BTS shots. Hope to post more in a few days.

TimurCivan, the cast does have a higher number of females as a portion of the story occurs at a private (girls) school, but the main story line is between the male and female lead. The scenes shot so far haven't been part of the main story line but more of the back story. I can say with high confidence that the quality of acting will easily exceed the eye candy, we have a very strong all professional cast.

Yeah, at least 50% back as of right now. I am still mad at myself for letting us miss shooting yesterday. I know you worked hard at getting that location and I am really sorry for calling it off, but I don't think I would have done it justice.

Oh well, back to work!

It made no sense shooting yesterday with you not being well. The weather wasn't that good anyway. I spoke to Mickey about rescheduling. She would prefer mornings since she has to be at the Historical Society between 1 and 5, OR on the weekend. When you've had a chance to catch up and get back on track we'll talk about the best time to reschedule...Christmas is upon us...

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better and getting back on track Kevin. Keep the wonderful info. coming that this thread provides. This is one I'm gonna have to print after the fest is all over.
