I got 2hs of sleep and worked 16 today! I want to make it sooo badly, ut I don't know if I'll get up!

I thought you said you were bringing the hot girl. :) Well if you can't make it she can still come. :)

LOL! It was so nice to meet many of you today, and I am glad for Gary that both me and my girl made it it! Hey, gary even got her number! LOL
It is so hard for me to place user names with faces and so on, I wish everyone used pictures like DC and I do for us name-challenged individuals.
We had M2 explanations, some great footage from a couple of guys who had just gotten their M2 and went out and about racking back and forth like kids on x-mas morning (they had also just gotten magic bullet and they had gorgeous effects all over, I can't remember everyone's names but there was a guy with an M2 that needed a tune up and I believe it was fixed right there, on-spot by a Redrock rep!

DC rocks! Apparently, Jared is thinking about giving his a little section in DVXuser.com specifically for us HVX users in LA. This meeting was a hughe success, and DC asked us what we'd like to see in the next meetings. I was guided to a better case to suit my needs, understand how the M2 works, meet some people who I will keep in contact, saw great footy showcasing M2 DOF and some magic bullet effects, watched a *disturbingly* good short  and it was 3 miles away!
I can't wait to attend the next one DC! And I cant wait to show up with something (good) of my own to showcase. Hey Gary, my girlfriend might even be the lead, so make sure to make it it to that one too!

PS: Jared, please help DC by allowing us to have multiple threads and stickys. I feel he will continue to do a great job!

Oh and they had a 25 ft. screen where they plugged in an x-box 360!!!
(no, we didn't play :crybaby: ) lol

It was great meeting everyone. Much thanks to DC for putting it all together and Sean for his hospitality. It's a downer that I can't be a regular at these meetings. I see a real synergy of learning emerging from this group.

It was great to see an HVX film using the M2 on the big screen. We will hear about much sucess from Richard going forward. Next time I am in LA I will be sure to look some of you up.

All the best,
Jim

Hey Guys,
I had a good time at the meeting also. Didn't really know what to expect, but felt that everyone was helpful and friendly. Congratulaitons to Richard on his Horror Short. And many thanks to both DC and Brian Valente (of RedrockMicro)
Also, wanted to give great thanks to JARGON Entertainment (and Sean). It is rare that you find people who are willing to give back and to support creativity, and I feel that Jargon is just that.
I've updated my avatar so that you guys can put a face to the User Name. If any of you had any questions, please don't hesitate to send me a PM.
Thanks,
Luis

To ALL who attended and made the event so succesful:

Thank you!

We will be having another in a month or two. The planning has already begun and is based directly on YOUR feedback. :)

It's too bad I missed this. I'm looking into buying a Redrock M2 and would have loved to get a tutorial on it. Well, you be doing a recap on the same info next time or something different.

Thanks DC

Thanks DC

The meeting was great. I learned a lot and look forward to the next one.

Working on the next one. There was a bit of a set back beyond my control. Planning for March. Will announce.

Newport Beach, eh? Nice place but way on the opposite end of LA from me. I've got some things to take care of on Saturday, not sure how long it will all take. So the chance of me getting down there is unlikely. :(

I know. It's 60 miles for me. I think I live less than a mile from you, if I recall correctly. Hope you can, but if not, I'll drink a beer for you...
