Question About Buying on Ebay

Hi guys,

I'm following a few auctions for DVX100/100a/100b cameras on Ebay. Any advice on where to draw the line in terms of hours on the camera? Obviously the less the better, but a lot of them have between 100 and 150 hours on the head. Would you think this would pose a problem? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Nah, its fine. But, try to get one that was bought from an authorized dealer, and if its got the mack warranty its a definite +.

Hi,

Purchased a used Panasonic DVX100 (original) 5 months back for $2200.00 CDN. Only 47 hours on the heads. I was very fortunate. Works quite well. You have to be careful but good honest deals do exist.

There is something else to be careful about. If you bid on an item and do not win, there are scammers out there that will email you posing as the owner - they will state something like the original winner did not come through, and ask you if you are still interested. Then they will try to sell it to you without relisting it - just don't do it.

Hope this helps.
Tim P.
