Mark and Ted's Excellent Adventure in Drama

Event is Sat and Sunday. We'll be doing interior shooting evenings probably the 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Hope we don't have pickups but will shoot them the following week if need be.

Cool... hm. might not be there for every interior shoot day. So, the 1st and 2nd is the exteriors?

While Ted is in the air I'll mention that tonight Kyle Stebbins (script/continuity and camera assistant) will be flying into LAX. This afternoon Scott Bullis (camera and steadicam) is flying in from his home in Oakland. This will be Scott's first visit to the location and he and I will be working out some exterior stuff he'll be shooting with us in January. Tomorrow Kyle will join us and we'll have a low-key walkthrough at the airport with him. I'm advised that something kind of cool is happening at 3:30 so we'll hopefully have something rather interesting to post here tomorrow eve.

Tonight and tomorrow we'll be staying at an amazing place. I promise you some pretty cool BTS of the Kyle-man and Bullis.

Later this weekend the three of us are driving up to my digs in San Jose and we plan to do San Francisco and environs properly. Should be a good time for the Nebraska boy. Believe me when I say that Bullis and I know how to do the Bay area right!
 
Awesome, Mark. I can't wait to come out there. I'm writing from gate 32 at the kansas international airport on my laptop listening to ben folds through bose triport phones... gotta say, i'm not too concerned with the four hours i have to wait to get onto my plane... these headphones rule.

Seriously though, It's really cool to see you guys flyin' all over the country to make this film...I'm looking forward to seeing the result of all this collaboration. I think I'm one of the 3 DVXusers that aren't involved in this project.

hahaha, it's definitely a huge collaboration and I just can't even begin to describe how excited I am about it!

Brandon - nah, I drove to KC with some pals of mine, bought em dinner and now I'm waiting here. Originally my flight was at 6:30 but Mark found a flight that headed straight for LAX and switched me over. So, now it's 8:15 but that's cool by me. It's peaceful chilling here right next to the KCI RECYCLES bin... it's the only outlet that I could find near gate 32.

Anyways, for the next few hours I'll be more active on the boards than I have the past month!! =)

Ooh, I have been wanting to see that movie, but I hear it makes "Passion of the Christ" like child's play as far as the violence goes. Good job on all guys, by the way. :beer:

I think 'teh Ted' stayed awake on the plane enjoying a few bags of peanuts
and the in-flight movie Wayne's World. When he got home he did a face plant
into his bed and a few convulsions later he's now in a comatose state till
tomorrow evening.
 
Kyle made it here and tonight he, Scott Bullis and I are staying with my good friends Dennis and Suzanne. We're high above Santa Monica bay in Palos Verdes Estates. I snapped a couple pictures of Kyle before we turn in for the night:

HAHA! Pretty darn close!

I was actually able to sleep on the plane... something that I don't often do as I love to fly and stare out the windows at the world below.

But this time, I actually fell asleep while buckled in at the terminal and didn't wake until the plane started it's race down the runway. I watched as the plane lifted into the air and then was out until we hit Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake City was an hour layover for me as I called my wife and then Kyle.

My trip from there to Boston was again laced with wonderful periods of rest.

I arrived in Boston and again called my wife and then Mark.

I got home, kissed my wife several times, said hello to my kitties and then logged onto dvxuser (promising my wife it was ONLY to announce my safe arrival!).

I then had a great dinner, bottle of wine and THEN did the face plant with my arms wrapped around my wife!
