First DVX fest. Just curious what the compression and upload procedure is. Want to make sure I know how to properly compress and upload my short so I don't have to figure it out the night of -.
 
Last fest it was an h.264 with a limit of 40 or 50 mb (can't remember)
but it has changed fest to fest in the past.
they haven't announced what it will be for sure yet for this one.
they will announce the req's at least two weaks or so prior to due date
then usually they put up an ftp site for upload a little before the process, but its all automated
 
DVX-Ben, i just checked out that page... it's very interesting because it seems like both our projects are called Broadcast and the premises are extremely similar.
 
Leo, welcome to the boards.

Can't speak to the premises being similar based on just having the same movie title. I haven't divulged much with my thread, besides my poster, which I feel is pretty ambiguous. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Best of luck.

EDIT: We should probably check with the Mod's on this...since it sounds like you already have your film in the can, I guess I can change my title if I have to. Jarred, any problems with this?

Two films titled Broadcast? This could be confusing when it comes time to vote on films. Maybe one of you could change or somewhat alter your title. Otherwise we're going to be mixing up the films. You can always change a provisional title back after Drama-Fest.
 
as for the title, mine is currently The Broadcast but can be modified to The Broadcast: An American Tragedy. Im sure it'll still cause confusion. i would be interested in hearing your premise that way we can see if they are similair or not. send me a message.

i think the odds are nuts. three projects entitled "Broadcast" for one dramafest. Honestly, what are the chances of that happening? We really are a close community :D great minds think alike ;)
 
in all seriousness, should we check with the Mod's about the recurring issue of same titles? It sounds like Jack Daniels Stanly's story is very different from mine. Jack, how far is your project? At the moment, I believe my projects name will be changed to The Broadcast: An American Tragedy, if more broadcast projects contine to show up
