I do have some wonderful words that I want to share from this past night of directing and shooting TTN. But they are going to have to wait as it is 5:08am and I am beat.

We wrapped our last shot at 2:00am and then had to breakdown and load up.

Time for bed.

Tomorrow will be time for some more BTS shots and stories!

What a great night!!!!

PS... that is a double-double animal that I am stuffing in my mouth and it was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten... and certainly the best from any fastfood chain!

I guess the "animal" version is onions sauteed on the grill and then the cheese mixed in and placed on top of the burger... OMG. Delicious!

(and yes... I asked them if I could have one of their stylin hats! I just couldn't resist!!! I wore it through out the first location of shooting. The second location, I changed my hat to something more appropriate... tune in later to find out! :) )

Well Ted Im glad you are going for it. You're one of the first people that welcomed me on here and when I say envious I guess I should say 'motivated' :-)

I may not have a full crew here, but I do have a couple of very close friends who never fail to help me out with an idea and the circle is growing the more we get our work out there. So Im as excited as you, we dont have a hangar yet but we do have a lot more motivation than we did a year ago.

i have canned spaghetti too! you gotta start somewhere...
That's awesome to hear. I am glad that you are sharing a similar experience... even without a hangar! :)

Keep up the great work that you do. I wouldn't mind working on a set with you... especially after your terrific horrorfest entry. Wow! I still think about the film you put together!

WOW! You don't know how close you are from being right!!!

Larry, keep those smilies coming. I love them!

And thanks for sharing those links... I'll get to them when I get back home.

Brandon... I'll see you tonight!

Yeah.... me too. I CAN'T SLEEP YET!!! I am still wired!

Blaine has the BTS photos and Mark has the P2 cards... and they're both asleep!

We're going to have to wait until they get up to see any special grabs!!!

dang.

DANG! I still can't sleep! I went out... watched the sunrise.... monitored the light for our January shoot (which is a "morning setting") and reflected on the great shoot.

I have to, HAVE TO spread some love and kudos to David and Tom. Crew is expected to work crazy hours... and when we spend an hour making something right, it feels like 10 minutes. But for actors, an hour feels like 2 hours (at least!).

But David and Tom never once grimaced or complained. Not even a heavy sigh. And when I was saying goodnight and good job and thank you to them, they were both appreciative for being allowed to do what they love and that the late and long hours were all about making a movie and "there is nothing like making a movie!" They both said that.

How much better can this be?

During my apologies and thanks, they responded with... You gotta get it right. You HAVE to get it right. And that is what they were there for. And that is what we did.

We got it right!

Thanks Tom!

Thanks David!

You are both incredible troupers and actors!

Thank you. Our film will benefit from your attitude and energy!

-Ted

That's an awesome report to hear! I've had the benefit and privilege of working with some awesome actors, including David, who have that exact same attitude, and it truly does benefit the entire production greatly!

Now let's see some stuff from last night!

Hey man, I'm downloading right now! But I don't feel like grabbing a grab... I wanna start editing!!!!!!

Resist luke!! LOL! Well, what I do is I grab some grabs that I really like to inspire me to edit for the rest of the day :) Usually I post grabs like less than two hours after wrapping filming... LOL! I'm sooo lame.

Okay... I had too...

Ted is now In-N-Out's offical Spokesman:

Sounds like you have a great crew and a great set of actors. Its always great to here when people actually give a hoot about making a great product and doing there best.

Now Ted, go get some rest all ready... you crazy.

HAHA!

Don't worry. I won't start editing until I post a few grabs!

But these P2 cards have many looooong steps involved in getting the footage able to even see!

But I do want to quickly "paste" together the sequence and bring to you tonight.

But first.... grabs. I know! I know!

I thought P2 made capturing quicker....

Dude, that'd be so cool if you could bring it tonight! I've got some stuff for you as well...

Excellent B-man.

These P2 cards download to the computer faster than DV tapes but then you have to import the files (at least I have to on the mac) and that is another timely step. Then you have to render everything to even see it... AND THEN, because we shot much of our shots in a front surface mirror, I have to flip the footage!

What? Whoa.... "front surface mirror?" What are you talking about Ted?

Well, he had some pretty darn special things happening on the set last night... and I don't want to give it away without the BTS grabs. And I really would like to give Mark and Kevin the honor as it was pretty darn cool.

Speaking of Kevin, I want to take a moment and wish the guy well.

Kevin came down with a stomach flu or something last night but wouldn't give in. He may not have been on set at all times but he WOULD NOT leave and let the film down. He wouldn't even let on that he was feeling ill. He would just politely disappear and began to figure it out.

He never complained. He never groaned. He was such a trooper.

It is obvious that Kevin is a true professional and loves his job. He even tried to help during the strike. I was finally able to convince him to go home and let us finish the strike without him. He gave in and got in his car to leave. But he was too weak to even drive. I followed Blaine as he drove Kevin in his car home.

It was a tough night for Kevin. He was as strong as he could be and got us set-up for everyone of our shots. And when he felt we were in good hands, he left us to take care of himself.

I do hope that he has a quick recovery. It sucks to have the flu.

Thanks Kevin. I appreciate you work so much. We'll get the BTS for the FAA office soon and would love for you to breakdown the lighting. Yes, it wasn't a difficult plot but there are those thaat would appreciate hearing it and learning from you,

Take care my friend.

Can't wait to see you in January!

Good luck with "Violet."

-Ted

(I know that you are probably "mad" at me for telling this to people but I think that it just shows off another strength of yours.)

Wow Ted, great story, and it really show Kevin's character... Great to hear... What strike happened? Or is that some kind of code I am not supposed to know about... I am very curious about the mirror as well... did you guys end up using an adapter for some of the stuff, or what?
