Mark and Ted's Excellent Adventure in Drama

Kyle,

This will be a great trip. Now that we've blocked shots here at the airport I have a bunch of stuff I want to cover with you. The time is going to be very well spent for sure.

I'll e-mail you the info you need for the flight. Don't be late to KCI!

Brandon, man, that's a good point! Don't get me wrong, this trip is going to totally blow away anything I'd be doing over my break in Lincoln, Nebraska. However, I don't want Mark or anyone to feel as though they need to entertain me because it's my own fault I'm coming out later than everyone else.

I think we will get work done, and I will spend time learning my duties on the set and just having a good time talking and driving from place to place. It's going to be awesome, and I have no doubt about that.

That's all I meant!

For sure Kyle... my comment was made in jest :) I think I'm even more excited just to meet you then anything else... My directing partner Daniel (co-director on Smuggler's and A Price Too High) will also be coming down with me...

I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!

And Mark, I won't be late to KCI... i can't wait to get the flight info and for thursday to come!!! now, i just have to find my vid ipod!!!!!!

Dang Larry... you have some of the coolest smilies!

No.... there will be NO PICTURE of me posing with a ladder in front of a perfectly keyed blue screen! Jeez, just imagine what would happen to me!

Kyle, man... did you get to check out the pix that I posted on Saturday? Dude, they were for you. I was hoping that you would see them.

Question for anyone.... my wife is telling me that she cannot view the photos I posted last night or even my banner. She gets nothing but a small blue square with a "?"

Anyone else having trouble viewing the photo of the SET UP, PRODUCTION MONITOR and the SCREEN GRAB?

Dudes, I'm still trying to secure a "chair" for a shoot.

I would be drueling but I have Xerostomia.

David,

There are interesting stories about Ted and Mark during the grip rental for this shoot. We were like poor kids at a toy store. The big boys were coming and going with their grip trucks and loading gear -- off to shoot important films and television episodes. And here's Ted and Mark drooling over the big cranes and dollies with spiffy curved tracks labelled with signs that said "rent me!" We kind of looked like tourists, I'm afraid.

It was quite amusing, I'm sure, watching us do the check list of the gear Kevin had specified for us. Let's just say that Ted and Mark did not know what a taco cart was and it led to a modicum of hilarity.

Kyle, I e-mailed you the flight info you need. I've also got some templates from Blaine for you. Will get those to you a little later today.

Mark

Things are looking good so far. I love the lighting that was done and can't wait to see the finished product! Mark, looking forward to seeing you up here in the Northwest in January!

OK, so can you let me in on it and tell us what a taco cart is? And while your at it can you tell me what "modicum" means?

Taco cart is something you can get with a grip package to hold all kinds of things like apple boxes, milk crates, c-stands, etc. It has wheels making things easily movable and serves as a nice home base for all the grip equipment.

modicum |?mädik?m; ?m?d-| noun [in sing. ] a small quantity of a particular thing, esp. something considered desirable or valuable : his statement had more than a modicum of truth. ORIGIN late 15th cent.: from Latin, neuter of modicus ‘moderate,’ from modus ‘measure.’

hehe. Funny I forgot those carts were called Taco Carts! Did you have plenty of C-47's though?
