Anyways, while the Wii is the second greatest system ever (close 2nd to the SNES) :) ill take Both the Wii and PS3. Theres no reason to choose sides.

;) I had to send my mom to Tanforan for the Xbox 360 pre order. She was first in line, our customer number is 000001. She was the first customer. LOL. I didnt feel bad, plus she got 50 bucks out of going there for me. :)

share your PSN screename when you get online Mench. Im Cynic821

It wasn't easy, but I found a Wii console for my kids--finally. PS3's are easy to score, but the Wii's are ridiculously hard to find. Had to wait hours in line, so I hope they like it. If not, there's always Call of Duty 3. :)

I asked for a Wii for Christmas- but my folks live in a super small town that hadn't gotten any in the last time I asked about it.

So I'll hope against hope, but it probably won't happen.

Wow. Whered you get one at? Ive been looking for them for gifts for my godparents and my sister, but unavailable anywhere. I waited 13 hours in line on launch night for my Wii.

Awesome!

I got it at the Gamestop in the mall near where I work. Amazingly, they got a shipment of 86 Wii's on Friday at about 12:30pm. I was something like 66th in line. They shut down the store, closed the security gates and stationed a security guard out front and just processed the Wii customers, but I was still in line about three hours. The next opportunity will be Sunday the 17th--all the big box stores will have Wii's this Sunday--but get there early.

Interesting, thanks for the info Barry.

Kholi, you are correct. The SNES is the best system ever made. Earthbound, Zelda LTTP and all the Squresoft tiles, and countless others. Nothing will ever top the SNES.

Omfg. Link To the Past man. Any Squaresoft title was outrageously good on Snes.

Secret of Evermore, Secret of Mana. Final Fantasy 3/6, Super Mario RPG. Then you had titles like Super Metroid, Turtles in Time. Just, wow.

Cynic has great tastes in video games.

By the way, those looking for a Wii - Check your local Blockbuster. =) Nobody buys em from there. They're always in stock.

Link to the Past ALL THE WAY.

I don't know how many childhood nights were spent uttering the phrase "where the hell is the hookshot?"

ROFL. HOOKSHOT! Omfg.

Turtle Rock breeds all sorts of nightmarish memories. And turning into that stupid bunny freaking sucked. You'd get bouldered SOOO easily on Dark Mountain.

The bunny was great, that game still amazes me. Ive probably beat that game about 20 or 30 times atleast. When it comes to the Wii later on (Japan already has it on the Wii) ill probably beat it another 2 or 3 times.

Can't help but go back and play it when it's available. I wonder if Chrono Trigger and the rest of the Squaresoft games will be available on Wii as well.

Its very possible. Square Enix is supporting the Wii with a New Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles, and has been an amazing supporter of the DS as well. So im sure its just a matter of time before Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, FF 3, FF 2 and even the original NES Final Fantasy are made available on the Virtual Console Shop.

Wow...I haven't heard of half these titles. I only started getting koshure about gaming when i was 12 - 4 years ago

Oh man, i didnt realize that the Teens of today dont know about these. Everyone MUST play and finish these titles. its very unfortunate that it goes that way. The maintstream industry would have you want to just get the new thing, but Luckily Sony and Nintendo are allowing the younger to experience console classics in a limited way, but there is no replacement for the SNES era. Im getting older i guess, but you need to go get an SNES and play through some of em.

OH and Nintendo is also using the Handhelds as a great way for younger gamers to experience what many consider the best ERA for engrossing and story rich gaming.
