Music Video: you got me running...

That was a really good video with a very upbeat song. I liked the look a lot. Man, that girl is cute. Also, the singer had a presence.

You know, it's nice to see something clean and fun.

Which adapter did you use? I noticed some vignette in some of the shots.

Wow, that was really good,
quick question...what did you use for CC...also, I would like to know about adaptor as well. Great job

Again, best music video's around... I really think your video's rival Colin Minihan's over at DI. You need to start making some serious cash off these, my friend. I'll bet it won't be long. Ya know what I'd like to see in the future? something away from the norm. Your video work is AWESOME, but I'd love to see you experiment with something completely original.

I see you've picked up the "artbeats" for this one. First time from you, right?

Man, you really make me feel lazy...

-brown

Wow man, Brown was right. that MV shows serious promise and talent.

Ultimately, it looks so filmic that one could mistake it for beautifully shot and lit film.

What did you light pckg consist of, and what was use for EXT close-ups. The lead vocalist's CUs were goregous, colour and light.

Artbeat rocks,

Great work.

I wouldn't be surprised if you said that was film.

If that WAS dvx, your slo-mo looked like true high speed in most moments.

did you mean to post this video on the dvx forum, because it looks like it was shot on a more expensive camera.

Nice work. Which adapter did you use. Only suggestion I have would be to spread the narrative a little more evenly. The begininig to middle was much heavier in terms of story and then it becomes mostly band with sparse narrative through to the end. But overall, great job. If you don't mind telling, did you get paid for this and do you know what the budget was? I'm trying to get an idea of what videos cost. My guess is that it wasn't a big budget as it was all outside. But you made it work either way. Bravo.

Alex

Wow, thanks for the props/comments. This is a 0$ ghetto no budget video, the band didn't have any money, I'm always broke, so definetly no money will be put in. Just my camera & mother earth. haha, oh and a broken foam piece to bounce light into the lead singers face. All natural light. We had a 750 leko light during dusk. We started at 3 and ended at 5.

-The adapter was the sexy letus35a. I put the vignette in.
-CC was vegas 6, three way color corrector. Color it in camera and then tweak it more in post.

rcbrown23, The goal is to get paid as always but it doesn't come often, its a tough business so far... gotta keep trying. I just want my rent paid! ah... yea i sold out and went to artbeats, got the flashes lol.

I just wanted to have fun and work a little bit more on the directing.

I forgot to ask for feedback. Was anyone able to get the story? I don't know if I lay out the info enough. If the audience kinda gets it... then I've accomplished my mission.

The narrative, I wanted to be strong in the beginning to get the story across, character development & what not, then the performance in the end. I had that dilemma during post, so i just made the decision ... story first performance last.

Wow, that really was great. I'm shooting a video right now, and if it turns out half as nice as that, I'd be thrilled. Good work! I do see about the comments of being heavy into narrative in the beginning and the band performance towards the end though. It kinda threw me off, I didn't realize it was the same guy (with and without hat) until about 2:30. Maybe it was just me though. Excellent work Sir!

Wicked work man.
I saw a bunch of horizontal tear/distortion, dunno if its just me, my crappy monitor or if it was some sort of effect that I don't know of.
either way Very Very good video

So its just my monitor, just watched a couple other videos and they all do that....I should really fix that.

You did it again hiro! haha damn good stuff once again. Did the story have something to do with him recalling the past they shared? is she dead? if she is then the end showed that he shouldn't have to feel sad that she's gone but be happy that they shared those moments.

oh quick question, those flashes of light...how do you do that? I tried doing something like that b4 to cut on or just have for effect but I dont know how. I bet its something simple but im clueless at times....and I call myself an editor.

Very nice work... A step in a different direction from the Daylight Dies MV however this one is very unique... very nice DOF and how much CC did you do... looks great, makes the DVX truly shine! (I assume thats what it was)

Enjoyed watching this one very much... your 0$ projects are more fun to watch than $$$$$ projects. Awesome Video

Also, Hiro I think you should check this site and watch the Thursday video, might be up your alley.
