What questions would you like answered?

I'm going to be working on a segment exclusive to DVXUser for my new DVD. Basically it's going to be a tips and tricks segment showing some of the ways I shoot and some lessons learned along the way.

I've received a lot of PMs over time and will be using some of them for inspiration in terms of what people find interesting but I thought I'd throw it out here. Based on the stuff I have shot under the banner of Pine Lake Films, I am looking for ideas of what you would like to see and have answered in a behind the scenes style "extras" segment.

Disjecta, where can I view some of your work? I know I've seen a lot in the past, but can't find anything now. Didn't you have a website up of your work?

Hi Lucky Duck, saw your video. WOW!!! Loved it. Questions: How do you get the Cinemascope format? What camera did you use? Did you steal the music? All kidding aside, BEAUTIFUL stuff! Get to Hollywood quick! Life is short. If I were bill gates, I'd fund your next project with Panavision (or Arri)
Godspeed,
Mike Haley

Inspiring! Your work is simply stunning!!! I like the pacing of the films. The score also helps a lot. Good job and good luck with your endeavors!!!

Disjecta, may I suggest answering a couple of questions on your DVD concerning shutter speed and why you decided to use certain speeds, for ex. on your piece that shows snow falling there on the lake. Also, maybe touch on natural lighting...did you only shoot at certain times of the day, only on cloudy days, etc. Thanks.

after seeing what you got out of all those various lighting conditions, I would be very interested in how you handle exposure.

--what difficult exposure issues have you encountered and how did you resolve the situation? graduated nd filter on rainy days?
--are you riding the iris thumbwheel while using zebra patterns?
--auto iris or manual? any preference?, under what conditions?
--do you use the marker? if so, when?

other questions would be:
--assuming autofocus on moving shots, i.e. birds flying, are you otherwise focussing manually?
--when manually focussing, say for example full zoom on an animal that is grazing or slowly moving toward or away from you, how are you adjusting focus to follow that movement? peaking on?

if these sound like questions from a beginner, they truly are. However, if any qualify as food for thought, thats great.
I stumbled into your work when first visiting this site and it has helped launch me into a new passion. Keep up the good work.
Look forward to the DVD when available.
