Ooh Happy Thanksgiving! I feel the need to gain 10 pounds, even for just over the weekend. Hahaha!

Oh and I'm voting yes for more screen grabs. Notion Passed.

I second that!

Thanks jarrod... hey man, since we're the only two staying in lincoln... let's jam this weekend! what do you say? you drum, i play the keys... yes? -- i'm writing some stuff and need a band.

****. you better say yes.

Hells Yeah! I'm down. Give me a call.
Need a band, ha. Everybody is in a band these days, even me. But jam we shall.

sounds good -- and just so everyone knows, the guys over at Threading The Needle threw in a shout-out to our film in their project. i know what it is, but you'll find out on january 31 so keep your eyes and ears peeled. they threw something in there just for us!

Here's a few more screen grabs. Kyle and I came up with this really good idea for a movie about Turkeys that fly in to space. This will be our next project. We will hopefully be casting Rebecca D as the sultry Turkey. She doesn't know this yet. We want George Lucas to write and direct.

"Why'd you shoot me?"

I know what it is but I am not telling! But it is JUST FOR YOU GUYS!!!!!!

Nice grabs here.... specially that lip-lock! Whoa!

I agree with the B-man.... is the green tint intentional?

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, the green is intentional. Do you guys not dig it? It's in post so it can always be changed.

I think the second grab is a little on the green side, especially in their hair. It might help to have the green a little more spread out, right now it feels like it is focused more on the dark areas. But if that's the look you want and if your trying to convey a feeling, then go for it.

I'm debating it. I definitely see where you guys are coming from. It is very green. I dunno, at first I really liked the look, but I'm going to play around with other ones to see what works best.

Also, they seem really grainy... I know stills have a tendency to show the grain(noise) more... but some of those darker shots it seems pretty bad... any ideas?

It seems like playing with Magic Bullet takes forever to get the right look... it also kind of feels like cheating. Anyways, I hadn't noticed how dark the grabs looked until I saw them on my monitor. They looked fine on Alex's cinema display.

thanks for the feedback, everyone!

First two seem a little grainy, though I like the composition. Try applying the green tint on the white only see what that does. Lighting in these cc shots looks great, would like to see the originals. The last shot is a tad flat, needed to break up the wall a bit - probably a small kicker hitting the back of him so you get a whitish line across his shoulders and hair would have been enough , colors look nice. The red on his short looks a little blocky though. Throw a chroma blur onto that and it should fix the problem. Looking good though mate.

Chroma blur you say? I will definitely try that because we have been having a problem with red in a few shots. Thanks for the tip!

Sorry Alex, may be a touch of misinformation - chroma blur would help as it does smooth it. The actual filter I am using is called color smoothing 4:1:1 but its only in FCP. Nattress has a better one called G nicer but I only used the standard FCP here:

But maybe check in your NLE forum, there should be something people are actually using.

I took your still into FCP an applied the filter check the comparison below mine is oversized, recompressed as jpg so it looks a little softer, but in the NLE after filter it was the same.

OH MY GOD! Our deadline is tomorrow! Tonight will be an all-nighter.

Can't wait to show everyone the movie though.

I think most of the crew is still recovering from an all nighter Sunday night, but man, they deserve it. The Corsairs premiered at The Ross Monday night to a crowd of about 50 people. There were a few issues that came up, but those should mostly be able to be fixed for the internet version.

Everyone, I'd just like to say that the experience was a blast and it was a pleasure working with you all. Now Alex, can I have my speakers back please?
