I'll say.... I am getting nervous just hitting any link around your posts. I am afraid something's going to go off and I am going to be having to listen to more of that DEEP RELAXATION AND MEDITATION cut! :grin:Kyle Stebbins said:i think i posted that music link in too many places... lol

Alright, big update here guys... check this out:
So I've read all over dvxuser a countless number of times that if you are going to be shooting in public with fake guns or weapons you need to inform the local police station of when and where you will be doing it. Well, somehow this rule of thumb completely flew over our heads as we proceeded to shoot in broad daylight with arms-bearing talent. Later that night, we were reshooting a scene where a gun murder was involved (ingeniously lit with three sets of headlights) and right as the trigger was being "pulled" a police cruiser pulled up, shined his spotlight on the actor (who was directly in front of me) and pulled a gun out and pointed it at him screaming "PUT THE GUN DOWN!"
He was handcuffed and thrown in the back of the cruiser.
What I learned from a situation like this is that no matter what you are using the fake weapons for on a film shoot, to "fire" or to just use for show, it is ALWAYS a good idea to call the local police and tell them everything that is going to be happening on your shoot. Everything. -- It was not worth it to put our actor in harms way like that, because, had the cop been just a rookie and considerably inexperienced, our friend might've had a few extra holes in him that night.
After we informed him that we were just theatre and film students making a film for a class, he told us a few things to do for next time and when asked whether we could continue to shoot or not, he told us: "Let her rip!"
Needless to say, once he was un-handcuffed, we let him have a cigarette and then we got back to shooting.

ROFL!!!!!!!!! :grin:Alex Jeffery said:Actually, Logan, the actor, was very calm about it. He was just like "Hell ya! I almost got shot!" He's pretty much a beast.
I, on the other hand, was a huge pansy and was frozen on the ground with my hands up even after the officer told me to chill.
G5.... drool...... me want G5......Alex Jeffery said:(This is Kyle... no time to log out... I'm on Alex's G5)
