My personal recommendation would be a 50" Pani Commercial plasma:

Add a decent home theater sound system and you'll have an excellent system.

Generally speaking, go lcd over plasma. Longer lasting.

but ive heard that lcd does not have very good black level,the blacks look a little brown,is this true,can someone please make a list of the pos and con for lcd,and plasma

Each technology has advantages and disadvantages so you need to look at the +-'s and figure out what's best for YOU.

The Pani Plasma displays have a rated lifetime > 50,000 hours.

Do your research and good luck with whatever you get.
