Kyle Stebbins presents "The Corsairs"

Kyle, looks good mate. Story could be something.

The mood in your lighting looks good, but Im feeling the shots a little flat. Get your lighting guys to drop in some subtle backlights with texture etc to pull your subjects of the walls.

Great job though mate.

I can't wait to see this. How is post-production going?

Because of the time constraints on this project, production and post-production are simultaneous. Every scene we've shot is pretty much edited with minor adjustments needed.

Alex is right. It's such a short time that, at least for class, we are putting together a copy that we are semi-happy with. After the due date we will continue to work on this project.

Ncje, thanks for the pointers, there is a lot of CCing that is taking place on this project. The grabs on the thread are non color-corrected (except for one... and it's obvious)

anyways, thanks all!!

We just had a great shoot today at a location that required us to shoot guerilla style! (gotta love that!) It was an "abandoned" little barn that was just falling to pieces. It was a fantastic location!

Here are some pictures from today's shoot:

Whoa thats a wicked location! Sweet grabs. I really love the first one and the last one - although the sky looks very surreal

MalcolmOng - I just wish we had a huge green screen we could've put up on the side of the place. That would've been ideal. Alex still needs to add some red and yellow hues to Arthur (played by Christian Stokes). These grabs are works-in-progress.

Ncje - Thank you so much, that means quite a bit from you.

Ok, I've had no problems capturing the footage on this film so far. Until tonight. I went to capture the footage, but things didn't work out. I followed the digitizing 24pa footage tutorial in the FCP forum, but it's no longer working for me. I have the same project and capture settings as before, but now it wants me to render clips in the timeline. No idea what I'm doing wrong, but it's really annoying. Help?

Yeah I agree it needs some color adjustments on his face. That might help the white "feathered" edges, too. The shots look great though, I like the one through the boards and the hammer one, too.

the boards was my composition and the selective DOF on the hammer was ALL alex... it was fun! crazy shoot today... too tired to capture and post grabs. tomorrow!

Wow. Beautiful frames Kyle. I'm very very very impressed. Nicely done! Now, what I don't understand, though, is why there's a hammer instead of a spray nozzle????

I think he used the spray nozzle to clean the hammer...
