M D Productions presents: 'Violet'

Thanks Tom, I like these two locations a lot myself.

I did get your link to the State Fund Insurance. I think that the policy minimums have gone up a bit since you last checked, but this could still be a better price.

Worker's comp isn't really all that bad of idea, after all, you never know when your talent might fall into the pool!

Great location shoots. What is that obelisk-ish looking thing in the foreground of the first?

The "obelisk" is a marker erected in the 1930's that proclaimed the site to have been first "discovered" in the mid 1700s by an expeditionary force sent North from San Diego.

This canyon has upward of 100 old oil derricks still standing. Lots of interesting possibilities.

Both of those locations were around the Brea / Diamond Bar area. I also looked around Chino Hills and found a couple of others that were very similar in topology.

I can see why you might have thought you recognized them, I know areas around Santa Clarita that have a similar look. One of my favorite film locations is in your area (Sable Ranch), I love shooting there.

Don't think I've been there... There are several "ranches" out here people shoot at... ever shot at the Halfway House Cafe? THey are filming something there like literally every other week... it's like 300 yards from my place.

Santa Clarita Valley is a busy filming location. Here is a list of things shooting there last and this week.

Yeah, what sucks is I've still NEVER been on a 24 set. I do have a piece of the car (Jaguar) they blew up in episode 22 of season 5.

I never seen Series 4 or 5. Though I asked Santa very nicely this christmas if i could have it on dvd and he told me to **** off. Anyway. Thats lucky. Real lucky. I just remembered how much it must rock living in LA.

Well its pretty cool if you want to work in the industry, but the traffic down right SUCKS. I was out the door before 6AM today for a 7:30 call time. According to the cars dash display, my average, mostly all freeway driving comes out to 19 MPH!

Americans have a cool accent. This american and her kid got on a bus and the child started singing. And it would have melted my heart if i had one. But basically. You guys have cool accents. =/

ANYWHO...I should be moving to america in about 2 years, but only for 6 months. Oh boy. Watch the average death rate increase then.
