Ok, I'm not sure why ... but I've gotten a bunch of PMs asking whether or not I really shot this and the other video on a DVX100. The answer is "yup!".

Both were shot using the DVX (original) and DVX100B. The key, I think, to getting a really nice feel is to pay close attention to lighting and careful clean ups in post. I use FCP 5.

Any general comments re: framing/color correction/transitions/pace/pulse/edits etc?
 
I liked the colors a lot. Especially the blueish vs. yellowish/redish looks. Very nice!

Did you use any plugins or just FCP to get these looks?
 
I like this one better than the other, the song led you to shoot something more interesting in terms of story. Good job!
 
Yeah I had more time to shoot this one. We shot it out in California and had about 5 days to firm up the treatment, find locations and rock it out. I'm pleased with the results.

I was going for a kind of comic book vibe/feel. Serious, but still a bit ... well, comic book-ish. So I really wanted to create environments that were "timeless" and dark-ish.

My only concern was whether the storyline was (1) obvious, (2) somewhat clear, or (3) not clear at all.

Thoughts?
