God, the Oktava is amazing.

slimcrisp,

The helpful and knowledgable staff at Trew Audio helped me out with the same items.

Though they have the KSSM mount on the website ($109 - comes standard with the SOFT BANDS), I had to call to inquire about the BBG and WJ. They do indeed carry the BBG($139) and WJ($70) respectively. The number is 800-241-8994.

You can end up saving a few bucks ($20) over B&H when you factor in the purchase of the KSSM, otherwise the prices are the same. However, with Trew, you have the piece of mind dealing with people who know what they're talking about! Not to mention prompt shipping, with no "extended holidays" to work around.

As an aside, when you get the BBG - it twists open. Don't be afraid that you'll break it. See other posts regarding this!

thanks nmbuconj. that is really good to know. my last order with b&h was for some mini dv tapes. i ordered them 6 weeks before a gig, and a week before it i still didn't have them. their answer was to order some more because the first order was probably lost, and they couldn't do anything about it for something like 65 days. and from there our discussions really went downhill.

anyway, that explains why i didn't see the bbg and windjammer on the trew site. i'll give them a shout. thanks!

Also, StMad, not sure why you would try a comparison between the 416 and the Octava...there is little overlapping usage.

Phil

I've heard more than once that the 416 is fine indoors. Since I own the 2, it was easy to test them. I love the 416's sound, so if it had no issue indoors, then I'd use it.

Thanks for the link Joe.
