FCP 5.1.2 Can you preview MXF

How do you do it. I just installed it in my powerbook and don't see anything. i tried to search the help files and didn't see anything.

This is a big deal is it not, just what everybody wanted?
 
When you import , then panasonic P2, then select the card, this window should pop up:

where you can scrub and what not and set the in and out points, name the file properly, etc etc etc...

Cynic covered it to a "T" this is indeed and incredible factor in pushing the usability of P2 to the next level.
 
I finally have some downtime so I shipped off my discs to get the 5.1 upgrade.
Can't wait to start using all the new features for P2!
 
Hey, can someone tell me how to change the bins that footage is imported to?
I shoot stock, so I like to put some clips into one bin, then from the same P2 cards, import different clips to a different bin. I bring the new bin up on the tab in the browser but the import still goes into the first bin I used (as shown in the Reveal Bin button in upper left-hand corner of 'drag media here' window). I'm finding I can't change bin easily. My work-around is to bring the new bin to the front, quit FCP, then open FCP again. Must be a better way, shurely?

i just drag and drop from the main P2 window into a folder (bin) that i want it to be in, slower than a batch, but im not the most organized guy in the world, and i prefer to work that way anyways as i am constantly involved with each clip, more intamate connection with my clips. (that didnt mean to sound so artsy fartsy and what not, i just couldnt find normal words to say that in, LOL...i guess im too good with my words , my other job is - "The Fight Articulator" Nic Aragon - )
