Mark and Ted's Excellent Adventure in Drama

Thanks John.... you think that you can get over here the first week of January and handle the boom??? We need a sound crew!

I know John, I wish that you could. Man, that would just be so great!

>>>>>>>>>>>>

Um, Mark.... just so you know..... Kyle is going to be on you about a typo. (maybe two!)

Regardless, that press release it priceless!!!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

If you all enjoyed this round of folly, be sure to drop a "thank you note" to Mark for getting his internet turned on.

Unlike me, he doesn't have a beautiful and patient woman at the homestead to pay the bills! :)

Good night to my love...... 3000 miles away. I'll be home Thursday night.

I know that you are reading this thread.... I love you! :love4:

(don't worry dvxers... we DO have internet service in New Hampshire!!! I'll still be talking here on Friday! ) (well.... maybe the day after!)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Good night!

Well after reading the Variety article I can die a happy man...

Do I get one of those really cool secret decoder rings now that I am in the cool kids club?

Seriously guys, I am really looking forward to working on this film. Hell of a good script and a ton of production value in this one. Should be a blast.

Kevin, I am SO happy to have you on "Needle." The production values have just multiplied immensely!

I can't wait to personally watch you at work!

What a treat.

What a treat!

G'day mates,

We're going to have some exciting news with regard to the team that will be handling the VFX for TTN. For now I'll just say that we have an all-star collection of talent who will be bringing a critical scene in our movie to life.

I've taken the unusual step of inviting the Variety reporter to one of our locations (with her pledge of secrecy) in order that she can interview all of our FX artists. We expect to see a feature Variety article by the end of the week!

That article definitely ripped the one about B-man and I apart! Hilarious! The "Old Fart Filmmakers, Inc." actually got me laughing out loud, this is awesome.

Now, without further adieu...

This thread just flat out rules!! You tell that Variety reporter that you are going to sue her if she fu#@s up more articles. You hold the law degree, Mark, I'm sure you could make a good case.

I suspect that Kyle would make a great scripty. This job needs someone who has an eye for little details and obviously this is a pretty accurate description.

I have been blessed with a great scripty on a few occasions and they are worth their weight in gold.

Kevin do you mean like a script supervisor (I know scripty is a real term...)? Like someone who keeps up with the consistency of the film and assures that each take during a shoot will cut well with each other? For example, in Star Wars, (which is a horrible way to start a sentence...) there is one shot of Obi Wan with his braided hair on the left side of his ear and then in the next it is on the right side of his ear? Granted, this has little to do with the SCRIPT, but it's still a "noticing-the-small-details" issue.

If Mark or Ted would like me to play scripty in January, I would be more than happy. I think right now they have me down as C.A. (Perhaps the C.A. that helped Mr. Halverson with the video camera in the Variety article?) lol

PS. Kevin, I was informed that i will get to meet you when I come out to L.A.! You have helped me with numerous technical problems before I even signed on to TTN, and now I get to meet you!

That's exactly what he's talking about. You definitely have to have an eye for detail as you will be in charge of continuity. You need to track the dialogue that was used in each take. Circle good takes... Lot's to do and a VERY important job...one that always seems to get overlooked on low budget projects.

Kyle, you are going to be continuity/script supervisor. Seriously. We do have some continuity issues and we would like to delgate these to you along with the other incidentals of keeping track of our takes, etc. etc. Since this is a small crew you will, of course, get loads of experience with setup and assisting. I believe I can confidently state this will be better than any film class you could take. Just working with Kevin and learning from him will be worth the trip in spades.

We will be putting up a cast/crew list eventually after all the Variety scoops finally play out.

I have to say quite honestly that your attention to detail on the proofing is really impressive and valuable. I know we've been fooling around here but you show an aptitude for detail so we want you to head this up on set.
