K, so I just read the first draft of CHECKMATE. Thanks for sharing, Larry!

It's a strong premise, that I'll especially be interested to read again after you've got it so it'll pace out for the six minute limit. :thumbsup:
 
Thanks Norm! I am not totally sure how we're going to get this to 6 min. We'll see. It's a strong enough story for me to just make it the length I feel it requires, and leave it as an exhibition piece. But at the same time, I know Larry and I both want to have something for competition in the fest. :)

And, yes, we would like to have a competing piece, but if we decide we can't tell the story adequately enough within the timeframe then we'll pull a STRICKEN and enter a longer, exhibition only piece.

I say screw the six minute TRT limit! If the story needs more to be told properly, then my all means give it enough time.

I have to say that working with Mark Johnson has been the single most enlightening and wonderful experience of my life. I would leave my wife just to carry this man's briefcase. Seriously. Mark Johnson is a genius and a god to me.
