I'm sure we can most all agree he is quite a big part of this site. But it seems he hasn't been around lately. I'm kinda missing in input, dry wit, and direct delivery.

The baninator is taking a break from the site and refocusing his energies on actual filmmaking, rather than just talking about filmmaking. Hopefully he'll do some amazing things and then come back on here to share with us.
 
Good for him. I'm sure he'll be able to make some crazy stuff with all that extra time.

But seriously, Barry, was it voluntary or did you have to ban him?

HAH! No, the baninator isn't banned! It's absolutely voluntary; near as I can tell he saw the growth in our membership's filmmaking skill in HorrorFest and decided that he's spent too much time moderating and not enough time shooting, so just like he quit smoking cold turkey, he's quit visiting the site for the time being. Could be back any day, but he's taking some personal time to grow his skills. He figured you can only read so much before you have to get in the trenches and DO. He wants to spend more time doing. Guy's a fantastic artist, so I can't wait to see what he does with the craft of film.
 
I wonder if he got more bitchy while quitting smoking or quitting this place. At least here, he can come back. :)

I know I am glad to hear they why of it, though admit once I knew he wasnt lying in a ditch somewhere, I figured he was giving himself an ultimatum.

I think we all look forward to his return, cuz it will mean he's achieved something more than he had while he was on here steady.

... I remember the first time I saw John Hudson online. There was John with his name in bright yellow and he was busy moderating, and I didn't even know there was a moderator untill then. I Was like "wait a minute, there are moderators? People get banned?" I had no concept that people where mods untill that moment. I didn't get it.
