THE NIGHTSHIFTERS - better late than never!

Just thought you guys would like to see this.

Here's a pic of the original wolf design I had in mind for a film a while back. He's a cross between a wrestler, gorilla and a werewolf!

Ultimately when it came to making this film I had to settle for a chewbacca suit and a rubber mask :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

LOL :) I love it, great design :)

I loved it. This really held my attention, which can be difficult to do when viewing movies on a computer monitor. The only weak point would have been the early dialogue scenes, but this has already been discussed. Really nice work.

Ok, head splat.

This was achieved by taking the last frame of the scene (where the vampire is on the floor screaming) into photoshop and making a quick head crush graphic from that. I downloaded and used a program called winmorph http://www.debugmode.com/winmorph/ morphing the original frame with the graphic frame and exported out the tga frames of animation from winmorph.
Afterwards, Richard composited and adjusted the frames adding Andrew Kramer's blood splatter anims over the top in AE.

The only let down for me was the wolfs foot. We didn't have a wolfs foot to shoot so I quickly made one in cg. however, I didn't get enough time to make the animation look good or to add any proper lighting and shadows. It also looks a bit too small. Stuff like this we didn't really get the time to go back to and improve, which is a shame.

My animator friend did a really cool animation for the foot, but it never got used due to rendering problems (and really cutting the deadline) so I ended up using my old animation of the foot. But the scene is so fast that you don't really notice it when you're watching the whole thing (IMO).

Here's a quick break down:
