Alright, people have been promising to buy things, but not following through.
PLEASE READ
I'm selling this tripod for $200, with the dvx quick release plate...cheap!
BECAUSE:
I need to ship a glide cam 2000 to Horse...he's a dvx member here and you'd be lucky to call him your friend...and I really don't feel like selling him out...as more and more people keep not sending me payment.
SO...if you want it and put it up on ebay and make 50 bucks, or take it to your local photography store and get store credit ...I don't care, i'm just trying not to burn a bridge...and 3 people benefit from it...

Yeah sorry everyone he was the first to send me a PM, so I contacted him first, I just wanted to make sure he was sending it before I told every one it was sold...like the last 4 times I've tried to sell something...sorry again.

Has anyone heard from Phil? I sent him $$$ for this tripod and got back a PM indicating he'd received payment almost a week ago. Since then no tripod and multiple PMs to him have gone unanswered.

I'm getting a little anxious! Maybe it is in the mail and I'm worrying for nothing. I hope.

Who is this Phil guy? And why is he so flaky? There are a few folks on here that have sent him PM and money orders. And we hear nothing back. I see that he has been a member since 2004 and has well over 1,000 posts. So what's the story on this person?

Where is my projector? Why can't you take 2 minutes out of your 'really' busy life to at least give me the courtesy of telling me you got the Money Order and that you are sending the projector that I ALREADY paid for? Yes, I am angry. Concerned that $350 of my hard earned cash is now gone, and maybe I'll never see a projector. Who are you? HUh?!

I sent Phil a money order almost 4 weeks ago. 11 days ago I get a PM telling me he's cashed it and will send the tripod the next day. Since then no communications from him and still no tripod!

I feel ripped off. I needed the tripod for a shoot this past weekend and had to make do with some flimsy old POS that caused some shots to be messed up and no possibility of any retakes.

Phil was certainly responsive when he was soliciting money, but once he gets it he disappears. There are names for people like that; none of them nice!

I'd recommend that no one every buy from Phil again.
 
Everyone is up your ass before the sale, but it's quite a different story after that. They seem to just DISAPPEAR!!!They want payment ASAP but then bullshit around while you're left with nothing. No money. No gear. We REALLY should start a list of crappy sellers.
 
there seemed to be something fishy about the price on the tripod. A little too good to be true.

We really should start a bad seller list.
 
I received a PM this morning that says it has been sent priority post. Little good that does me now though; I needed the tripod LAST weekend!

If anyone is reading this the lesson I learned is to get the person's phone number and verify that they answer at that number so that you have a chance of contacting them if they drop off the forum. That still might not be enough but it might have helped me.
 
starting have faith. I did get a confirm on the money order and that projector was on its way. We'll see.

I received the tripod on 11/2. I was a little concerned when I saw the condition of the box and the fact that there was obviously no packing material, but it arrived just fine despite that.

I'm very pleased with the tripod. However, it arrived 7 days after I needed it and many weeks after I sent payment!
 
11/6 still no projector. It is pouring rain out and has been for the past 3 days. I'm hoping that the mail carrier was just too lazy to do the mail today or something seeing that he might have had to carry a large box in the rain to deliver.

Maybe tomorrow?
