After hearing about the added features of FrameForge 3D from Mark and their crew, I decided to crack open the copy of the program I have, and play with it some more. While I haven't upgraded to the full version yet, the demo is working great - even though it is limited.

Keelie Duncan has joined the team and will be lending her makeup talents. I met with her today, and was impressed by her portfolio, as well as her can do attitude.
Location Secured
Well- lets say it is 90% secured. I've gotten an ok from the Police department, and an ok from the parks department, I'm just waiting on the parks department to get back to me with the proper forms that I have to fill out, as well as if I will need any insurance, or any permit fees. (He is thinking over those issues this week.) I've had a good experience with him, and I'm hoping for the best. I'd really like to use this location as it is within 1 mile of the Semele Set (My garage), and would cut travel time considerably. I'm still planning on a 1 day (LONG DAY) shoot.

Update - 11/29/06
Storyboard Samples
I've got about 90% of the film storyboarded out- and I'm working on the rest.

Update - 1/8/07
P2 Card Work Flow Created
So, after the problems we had with the P2 cards being downloaded to a ghost drive that was not attached to the laptop, I have done some research, and come up with a workflow for future use of the P2 cards. This new work flow should ensure that NO data is lost, and the everything remains secure. While this work flow is some what specific to my set up, I thought that I would offer it to all of you for your own productions- customize it to your needs.

The work flow can be downloaded here:
http://www.235studios.com/semele/235-P2CardWorkFlow.pdf

Just a note regarding P2 Genie- it seems to work well, when everyhting is going right, but as it can copy files to a non-exsistent drive, I would recommend against using the automatic erase feature.

Let me be the first to wish you good luck, or break a leg, whatever your preference.

I have looked at your website in the past, and am looking forward to seeing what you produce in this festival.

Take care,
Jason

Hey how's it going? Any hint on the film title yet? And wow, i don't even have that budget for my entire film! Never mind for just paint. So thats just put some things in proportion for me...I need money.

Things are coming together- I'm excited. The script is almost there- I'm on draft 7 so far. And I'm hunting around for various other props, and doing some location scouting as well.

I do not have a set budget for this film, but I want to keep things affordable while at the same time deliver quality, so we'll see where where that takes it ... Money is helpful. But as seen in the last fest, you can do a lot without a huge budget, and almost no budget. I think JP's submission (Broken Circle) is a good example of that.

Just secured my 1st AC.

I've found my location for one of the scenes, and now it's time to shoot some test footage for the VFX that will need to be done.

And then I still need to hold auditions for the rest of the cast, and approach some composers to see who would be interesed in scoring the film.

Love the banner, Ryan. Now get to crackin' on the poster too. I can attest to the fact that this will be a fun film to watch, because I've seen the script in detail & it'll have a lot to it. Looking forward to it!
