Buy an HVX -- get a FREE 8Gb P2

I just had a look at the site you mention but I can not even detect the word HVX200 not menition any rebate about a free 8 Gb P2 card. Do we Europeans get linked to another site or am I just stupid???? Maybe you Americans want to make us Europeans depresive with all the free thinks you get!!!

Regarding HD, HVX, here I come!

I think Panny is making a smart business decision. My wife and I spoke about this this morning. It just makes sense, with the Christmas season coming around, the release of other competitor's cams, this is their way of selling a few cameras short term and ALSO looking LONG term at gaining market share by getting a lot of people into the P2 workflow.

If Panny releases a ton of P2 cards now, they get us hooked (in a good way) on tapeless, which is the reason I've rented the HVX until now. I LOVE tapeless. Then, like others have already said, the 16 Gig cards come out. We all upgrade P2.

Face it, the DVX has been around for a decade (albeit in several versions). The HVX will also be around for quite some time. The upgrades, for most, will be larger P2 cards. Smart move Panny! LOVE YA!

Yeh ! Another Panasonic promotion only available in the U.S.

Call me jealous, but it'd be nice for a change to have some of that love in other countries too, like *ahem* Canada

i'm excited for this. I'm very glad I saw it since I was just about to buy an HVX! Do I need to wait until tomorrow (Nov 1st) to buy the cam, or can I buy it today, hehe :)

I believe we Canadians can get the same promotion as well, however don't quote me on this.

I am buying this week.

Can *anyone* confirm the date window? (10/1 thru 12/31)

I trust Promedia, just want a sanity check in case I need to delay my order for another day!

Thanks in advance

I wouldn't trust anyone's word on this except an official word from Panasonic. Just to be sure I would wait until the rebate offer is up on the Panasonic site or there is an official press release from Panasonic.

All USA authorized dealers were informed yesterday morning. Basically, the program goes "live" tomorrow (Nov 1st) but is RETROACTIVE for all the people who purchased HVX's in October.

Naturally, I've been making a lot of phone calls to HVX customers and telling them Christmas just came early...

VIVA HVX200s! VIVA EL PANASONICA! VIVA IS IT A PAPER TOWEL OR ISN'T IT?!?

This offer is fantastic. I'm planning to buy my HVX in the first days of Dec, and this fits in perfectly.

oh, and just because i'm totally greedy...

Can i get Barry's book free, too or is the limit to one rebate per HVX purchase?

Europe anyone? hello.... Europe...

Panasonic wish to coment on why we are paying over $1500 more than our American counterparts and do not get any incentive to buy an HVX...???

The cheapest I can find an HVX from an official Panasonic dealer is £3600 ($6870)

If we are going to pay this much more the least I think you could do is include us in a free 8gb card??!!

Fellow Europeans agree?

I have to say this has seriously effected my plans on buying the Canon XH A1. I am really in shock right now. This makes the price of the camera $4295 + $1200 for 8gb P2 card. It was always worth the money but now it is a steal. Great Job Panasonic!

Looks like I was like 3 weeks to early on my purchases :)

Return your camera and then buy a new one so you can get the rebate. Even if you have to pay a restocking fee it'll work out to be a better deal.

I had a feeling that there would be some kind of deal around Christmas time. I have been thinking about getting this camera ever since I saw the motorcross slow motion test and Motivity's HVX200 M2 demo.

Now, I'm in. Too bad I just bought a DVX100A. I'm going to sell it now on the marketplace.

2 things:

_ I can't find on the Panasonic site anything about this offer for the HVX

_ I bought my camera and 2 cards (8 gig) on Sept 26th!!! I received the goods on Oct 5th. That means that I'm out of the offer?

I called Eric form Full Compass yesterday and he didn’t know anything about it.
