Hey,

I just wanted to post a big THANK YOU to Matt and Jeremy, as well as all the other contributors here. I finally got GOOD sound. This is largely due to the knowledge you guys have taken the time to share on this board. So thanks. Jeremy, I'm almost done building my audio package as per your recommendations. The Oktava Mk-012 is incredible, it's true. Matt, I used your cables and the sound is beautiful.
I just won two awards at the Virginia Film Festival this past weekend. I competed in the Adrenaline Film Project, a 72 hour filmmkaing blitz. You get assigned a GENRE, PROP, and LINE OF DIALOGUE the night it begins, so there is no real pre-planning. The entire short is to be created within the 3 day period of the festival, and is then screened to festival audiences. I used voice actors since the "characters" of my film were inanimate objects (I'll try and post it soon in case you're scratching your head). Anyway, the audio was excellent, voices, SFX, and all. We won the Jury Award and Audience Award for best short.
I owe a lot of the excellent sound quality to your guys tips and tricks, equipment recommendations, etc. So thanks.

All the Best
Ben

I'm so glad that the film was a success. These guys here are truly one of the most experienced and knowledgeable people we have in our community. Having the right person with the right gear is invaluable. Congrats! :)

While thanks are appreciated, I speak for Matt and myself when I say that nothing says thank you like cash :)

Congrats!

Hear hear! ...and I'll further speak for both of us in saying that Jeremy prefers that you just send me his cut also. :dankk2:

waha! funny thread. im not sure where I fall in the "others" or, uh, "not others" category, but something tells me that any mention of c.a.s.h. on my part would result in an unexplained ban.

strange these feelings you get sometimes... :)

What's better?

a person't sincere gratitude OR cold hard cash
I think that smiley conveys a certain amount of skepticism.

As cash is so messy, and there are multiple people involved, all of the people you're referring to, Ben, have agreed to have me act as their agent.

I am also willing to make this very simple for you (at no extra cost!).

Please send me your social security #, bank name, and bank account # and I will handle everything for you. You will have no worries. Send this info by PM, as we don't want unscrupulous persons intercepting this information.

Um, I already sent all that information to some guy named Digital Dan. Was that a mistake?

No, not at all. I will check, er, I mean I'm sure he will check that account shortly to get the necessary info.

Would you happen to have any friends interested in earning some easy money working with a oil rich prince in Nigeria?
