Filter for echoey audio?

Is there an FCP filter or plugin to reduce echo or room reverberation on audio? A lot to ask, I know, I was just hoping...

Once it's already recorded, especially reverb and echo, you can't remove them. As far as where our technology is standing, no. The best approach was to put up sound blankets and sound absorbents during the shoot.

So, if you have a scene that has some pretty crappy audio, and there really isn't anything you can do about it, one trick I do is if the scenes before it are actually good, I slowly make them sound a little crappy as the scenes go on. Slow enough that to the average listener it's not obvious. That way, when you get the acutal crappy scene, it's not as noticable. Then you basically do the same thing in reverse for the scenes after the actual crappy sounding scene. It's not something I like to do, and I've only had to do it once, but it's a last resort type thing.
