Very Brief Synopsis:

A young woman called Erica is going through the recent events in her life with her analyst.

Production Notes

- This movie will be shot with a DVX100A
- Editing with Adobe Premiere 2.0 & Sony Vegas 7.0
- We will be using our own custom made Dolly
- We're thinking of building a director as well but Stratos and myself will do for now I guess
- SHOOTING DATES: December 9th/10th (weekend) & November 26th
- There are 6 locations for this movie.
- Right now, there is also a breakdown of 13 scenes. However half of these take place in one of the locations which is the analyst's office.
- All scenes take place during the day (cunning little ba$tards we are)
- Steve_Arm will be participating in this. He will be helping out during shooting and he will also do any vfx that we might need and CC, credits etc.
- Music again will be delivered by my brother Jimmy.
- This movie IS R rated.
- Vasso Partali who will be playing our lead character, Erica, is an amateur actress. She's been taking acting lessons for the past year and she is currently performing on stage on her 2nd play. We are very excited to have her on board because she is very dedicated and willing to help.

Locations

These 2 are going to be the Analyst's office. It's deneb79's new place so we have the opportunity to use it as we see fit since he wont be having much furniture and we will be able to set it up nicely. It also has a big balcony door and lots of light coming in.

This one is actually my bedroom and I will use it for 2 scenes. It's going to be the Stranger's appartment and again, there will be the necessary setup and decoration to fit the script.

This one here is the location for another outdoors scene. It's actually the front door of deneb79's new building.

This is a very nice park that we will use for another scene.

THE CONTEST IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!

In the past few days we ran a contest where we asked you to find the hidden meaning behind the title of our movie 'my Heart Is Vain'.

Even though there was a 2 weeks deadline, seems like especially the 'Threading The Needle' crew is not working very hard on their project as they both found the correct answer, along with Ramjet of Re-Birth and Steve_Arm.

The prize if we can call it that, is this: these 4 guys will be shown in our movie, as a part of a poster that will be in various places around Athens. The poster will be about an upcoming concert by the band 'the dvxUsers' and it will have the picture of each of them.

The lineup is the following:
Singer/Guitars : Ramjet [UNFORTUNATELY JASON DIDN'T SEND HIS PHOTO IN TIME SO IT'S ONLY THE OTHER 3 GUYS]
Bass: Ted Arabian
Drums: Steve_Arm
Keyboards: Mark Johnson

This is 99% our final title for our entry. I had a basic story to tell but this morning I decided to change a lot of it, keep the basic stuff and the characters but make it more straightforward and movie-like.

It has a girl called Erica (would you believe it?) as a main character.

That's all for now.

Give me an E!
Give me an X!
Give me a C!
Give me an I!
Give me a T!
Give me an E!
Give me a D!
EXCITED!

Thanx Matt!

ps. I haven't forgotten about the dvd, I hope that I'll have it in the mail by the 10th of Nov., still needs some interviews and a trailer

Geez John.... I thought you were going to try and mount that other script of yours... Love is the Most Descriptive Feeling!

Good Luck, buddy! Maybe sometime in the future I can fly over to Athen's and work with you! That would be awesome!!!

Ted if one day you are able to do overseas travelling to collaborate with others then you ll probably have your own jet and a '..& sons' after your name ;) hehehe

The only "sons" in my name will be Johnson! (as in Ted Arabian and Mark Johnson) No kids for the wife and I!

Our first kick-off meeting with Stratos went exceptionally well!

We have established some ground basis for our story, locations, shots and cast.

I will be refining the script this week according to what we discussed and start working on storyboards as well.

I hope that by mid-November we will have our cast.

So far we have 6 locations. 4 outdoors / 2 indoors

The cast has the lead actress (Erica), a lead actor (Analyst) and 5 more people. There will also be voice over again (LOL!!!), sorry but can't seem to be able to write something without the damn VO.

We have some great ideas about shooting this one. We'll try to focus on acting and cinematography this time. We are definitely very optimistic about our story/script.

Shooting days:

December 2/3
December 9/10
December 16/17

These are weekends, not sure about doing all 3 but we just put them up to be sure coz the weather might give us a hard time.

The most challenging part will be getting a real actress to play the lead, the rest can be handled easily by friends and I will try and get my hands on some friends of my brother who work on radio and know how to act on a microphone as they do lots of commercials and jiggles.

So far so good!

UPDATE

We defined all the roles but as you can see...we have Mr. Unknown playing all of them right now

Hey John, Stratos.... looking good! Congrats on the positive pre-production work. (So essential!) And good luck on finding the right actress!!!
