Flash Effect!! Help!!

Use a 'Color Matte', overlay your footage with 3 or 4 seconds of the white matte; use opacity handles to create the flash to white. Or you can frame by frame adjust the tail end of a clip and blow out the whites, add a filter, ect.

if you look in the video though, its not the hwole screen thats flashing its the individual lights..does ne know how to do that?

Flash Across and CameraFlash (I have both) are transitions, not filters.

BUT, you can use Flash Across if you cut the clip where you want the effect and use the transition to give the effect of a filter. Flash Across actually does go after the brightest whites. Only problem is that it effects the luma of everything in the clip to some degree.

The effect only acts on the lights, leaving everything else in the clip untouched.

I did something like this in a music video I shot recently. I used a filter called "Chromaglow." I'm not sure who makes it, but it will make the highlights bloom like crazy --- but just the highlights (all keyframable, btw).

You can see the video here and decide whether you think it's what you're looking for (the effect I'm talking about doesn't happen until she sings "and you won't stop until you get all you want." There is an earlier global flash that is not the same kind of thing.):

EDIT: I found the filter set. It's the Eureka Plug-ins volume 4 and costs $49. Their smash zoom is fun too, and their "Film Dissolve" is the only general purpose dissolve I use. http://www.kafwang.com/EUREKA/EurekaMain.html

CameraFlash.aex not a transition - it is key frameable and can be placed anywhere in a clip.
