Edius Free Trial now with DVCPRO HD

[augenblick]

I stumbled over this on the canopus.com website just minutes ago
It appears that they changed the Trial softare. It's now called EDIUS 4_403 Trial.

Quote:
" This trial version includes complete support of all native HDV formats, including Sony 1080i, Canon 1080p and JVC 720p,as well as support for Panasonic DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO HD, VariCam, P2, and Sony XDCAM."

I download it and give it a try.

Edius 4 is a very good (probably the best) option for PC users.

BUT as far a I know, to support 50p in PAL, the Broadcast version of Edius is required and is the ONLY software, that supports natively 50p (PAL) without any hint or additional software.

I'd be so happy if Broadcast 4 would support all framerates and formats of the HVX, but I'm afraid that I'll have to buy Edius Broadcast unless Canopus announces a full PAL P2-Support for a (soon) coming version of Canopus Edius.

I m working with the trial of edius4, it fully supports all modes (720p, all framerates, i guess, now in 720pn working) now, also for pal land.

But indeed, the trial of edius 4.03 now is a kind of "broadcast".
They had the same with the 3.6 before...i really like canopus....now finding out the the expensive avid adrenaline cant do a sh..., no framerates, no 720 in pal yet, makes melove it even more..!
