Threw this together last night for myself and a friend I travel with. We hope to shoot some cool doc stuff in India in the very near future.

This was all shot in South America last year.
I should probably add that the first shot of me after the little intro (where I'm reclined on a wall, adorned with a Fedora) was intended to be silly. We were goofing off, but with the tone and music I used that may not be obvious, so I'll probably change it so as not to seem melodramatic or cause eye-rolling - in case, that's what it mistakenly evokes.

Cool beans. I checked out the doc as well as your website. pretty cool. The music video by Jonathan Glazer was really amazing. Do you have any technical specs like what cam,35mm adapter and nle etc for that vid?

Hey by the way I just returned from India after 6 months (it was work related) so not much in terms of roaming around and taking footy. I am originally from chennai, India so if you want any pointers for your trip feel free to PM me.

Cheers,

Nice. Loved the whole "feel" to it, and there were some very nice shots in there... my favorite being the woman (your wife, I presume) standing on the ledge taking the photo. Make's me want to travel, for sure.

Couple things I wasn't so thrilled about: The photos going into the "Glow Dissolve". It was too fast, couldn't see what was going on, and didn't fit the mood with the rest of the teaser. I'd slow it way down, and lose the quick zoom, and maybe just pick a few of the best one's to show. A simple shutter sound effect, white flash, and a SLOW zoom into the pictures could be very effective there, in my opinion (fast enough to acompany the music, but no faster than it needs to be). Loved the eagle/hawk flying near the end into the water, and how it went perfectly with the music, but... there's a bad transition there. As it fades from the eagle into the sunset shot, the widescreen filter pops up in one frame. Watch, and I'm sure you'll see what I'm talking about.

Very nice... really enjoyed this one. Thanks.

Thanks, RC. Didn't see that last transition problem night (it was very late).
I appreciate your input.

i'm planning to shoot a doco in December when we go to Taiwan. Will be saving your video and filing as work I can reference. Good work. Love the music and feel! During the credits part though (love the credits), when you do the Ken Burns effects with those pics, I think it was too fast and went on for too many pics. Felt a little bit disoriented by it after the 4th pic. And yes agree with RCbrown. There was a section right after the eagle swoops down and transitions to the next clip the widescreen filter or slug disappears. Thanks for sharing.
