How are the SGpro, two pcreepy puppets and a grand piano related?

Meet Marty Hagan, Ph.D., the unofficial SGpro adapter spokesman.

In the market for an adapter? Then, you have to see this video.

www.zshare.net/video/sgproguy-mov.html

Just let it buffer: big, but FUNNY file, so please wait for it.

Do NOT hit download file. Just wait for it to buffer.

I know--boring Sundays lead to strangeness. I apologize in advance.

Kyle,

That was great, I hereby OFFICIALLY make that guy my SGpro spokesman and head of advertising. I got an email from the other guy straight after :)

Great stuff, made my day. I have uploaded the video to my sever to spread bandwidth:

Yes. Hugo's back. He's quite the sicko.

Thought I would revisit a childhood terror of mine.

You've got some good looking images there, I love the very shallow DOF shot of the lantern. But overall the images looked a bit soft. I did notice on some shots the lack of edge to edge sharpness as well. Perhaps the compression is not doing the video justice? It could be a backfocus issue as well.

Share with us your set up.

This was all done in jest, but to answer your questions---

Yes, the compression is definitely a factor. On my computer, the overall video quality looks excellent.

I used Nattress in post, specifically the "basic warm" preset (with a little tweaking) which utilizes black/white diffusion. I purposely did not remove the diffusion, because I wanted to soften it up a little. It noticeably MAKES IT SOFTER. Also, used gaussian blur on small TV images of Marty to soften it up.

My set-up, in general http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=65153

I use SGpro adapter (new version) with several Nikon SLR lenses, including 28mm, 50mm, 85mm, 105mm, 135mm, 200mm, and Zoom 70mm-300mm?.

Bundled FCP 5 (latest version .1 or .2, whatever it is?)

Nattress post-processing

Sonicfire Pro 4 (music)

Thanks,

Kyle

Hugo and Marty are both equity/members of SAG. So, Wayne, to keep expenses down you might want to keep TimurCivan as your rep.

The SGpro Rev2 can be run on either 1 or 2AA batteries. 1AA is good for up to about 120 shutter speed, and is whisper quite.

let me ask you guys do you keep the gg spinning at less than full speed? i find it makes for the least amount of grain.

What do you guy do?

My sgpro only has a two position toggle 'on-off' switch. The only way it's ever different speeds is when I use older batteries, then it's slower (new batteries cause it to spin noticeably much faster and louder but still very quiet).
