What comes out of a 100b YCor Comp Output?

wondering if someone could tell me what comes out. Is it the DV standard coming out at 5 to 1 compression? In otherwords if I connect my 100b to a switcher via YC what am I getting? Is it right off the block or is it crunched?My clent says:

We're concerned with the MiniDV standard.

what comes off the s-video port is the original signal - note while live - after you record and playback then it's the DV signal. someone is going to post that i'm wrong, but i've already done tests capturing from the s-video port. even while watching the monitor you can see the live is different from the playback, but the main difference is that the s-video signal is 640x480 and not the 720x480 that gets recorded to tape...man if the DVX had component outs that would be sweet.
