I've just come back from India after spending a month there..... saw a number of news crews out there and they overwhelmingly use the DVX100. I THINK your going to have a problem with the HVX as there is no high def 'infrastructure' in India i.e. its just not set up for HD.

Barry's link does show that they (at least know the existance of) the HVX see....

As to if they SELL it thats a different matter not to mention support and warranttee issues for non Indian buyers!
Cheers

If Barry is going to India, it means that there's a HVX market there. Barry, I presume, is going to do a Seminar over there, as well as Singapore and Malaysia. Unfortunatelly for me, Hong-Kong is not on the Asian tour... This just brings back those old memories, when I was a teenager and every major band I liked- like Metallica, , Nirvana, etc. Would go everywhere except here...

I'm headed to India next week so I know a little bit (but a very little bit) about the situation over there. You can find dealers on their website here:

Hey Barry,

Where are you going to be there? I'm off to Delhi to shoot a feature using the HDX900. I'll be there from Nov 1st December 17th. You should swing by the production office.

Delhi on the 24-27, Mumbai on 28-29, Kuala Lumpur 30-31, Singapore Nov. 1-3.

So I'd love to check out what you're doing, it would be awesome to finally meet one of the guys who's posted some of the best DVX & HVX footage on the web! But it looks like I'll miss you completely. :(
