HVX/Marshall Monitor Display Output Dissappears on Record

So I am stumped. I have an HVX with a Marshall 7" HD display. Recently the Marshall started dropping all of the data displayed from the EVF and LCD once record is pressed.(including picture safe ) So I guessed it has to do something with the display output setting, but I can't find a way to fix it. It's gotta be a simple setting...help?

Check the manual starting on page 112 -- there are some circumstances under which no OSD data is output during recording, such as when recording to tape.

Are you using tape, or what was the reason why you don't get the OSD output?

If you are using tape, be aware that the Focus Assist feature is also not available because it only works in 720 and 1080 mode.

Yes this is on tape output. In standby mode it's there. In record it dissappears, so you have to tape picture safe on the monitor-very silly.
