They look exactly the same to me. Makes me wish I had a decent, calibrated monitor

they are really really similar

but the one on the left has much nicer and smoother edges. Higher quality uprez, is that is what your testing.

differnent Deinterlacing technique for slomo.

The on on the left is with Smart deinterlace, the one on the right is stock Vegas deinterlace.

to my eyes, the one on the left has much fewer interlacing artifacts - i'd prefer it over the on on the right any time - and yea .. nice subject

I agree; the image on the left is smoother. The image on the right almost looks blurry ... soft.
