I think the undies are realistically what she'd wear to bed, That is to say I wear a pair of boy-cut panties and a tank top to bed too.

Great job Norm! I think the ending could have been a bit more explanatory, and could have had a bit more depth, and I'm sure with more time it would have. What a great job for such short notice. Sound, cinematography, acting, direction was all pretty solid. You da man!

As far as the infamous "skivvies"--> To say something is "neccessary" or "warranted" seems like a very broad and relative opinion. I found the attire totally normal. At least for the chicks I've gotten the chance to see right before bed.

And believe me. I am one Big p to the i to the mp daddy. Kidding.

Peeps at Envision. This was fun to watch. While it lacked in story, the look was really good and the actress had my attention the entire time. Her performance was believable and her look was really great. The score was really professional and the lighting was mostly decent (a bit flat in the kitchen). I liked the blue fog and her being lifted along the wall.

It's a shame the story wasn't on point as everything else was so well done. Maybe a few more drafts of the script and using the entire 6 minutes would have remedied that.

Seriously, thank you everyone for the kind words of appreciation, as well as the critiques on what could have been improved or done differently! While much of the critiques were things we were expecting because of our last minute entry decision, and lack of times to really tackle things we may have normally done otherwise, they're still appreciated and of course always shed some light on things we'll want to address in the future.

That said, we're ecstatic to be ranking 11th in overall score out of 65 films, and officially 10th place because one of the films that scored higher wasn't competing ... so it was MUCH better than we had really hoped for or expected considering what we were working against (time, lack of finances/resources, etc.).

I've updated the first post on this thread to show where "R.E.M." placed in all categories.
 
so now i can just start reviewing since the contest is over.

This movie had no value really over all. The lead didn't fit just cause she has a rack I didnt see her fit the mold to well of a woman who is deprived of sleep or having nightmares. on person said, It was like nightmare on elm st without the nightmare. I concur. Did you do this movie in a last min effort? If so it shows.

Thereason for this railing review is you sent me 2 reviews already one indepth then one just to be a quick insult to devalue things. PLus anohter things say the leads voice doesnt fit come on grow up. people dont have to sound asian to be asian. if you went back to my thread and look people thing you said the most retarded thing on the face of the planet. (also it doent look good saying that, what more do you want from her? should she be dressed like a geisha for you to be like ok she fits?)

simply put, I didnt like your movie, why? well it lacked heavily on interest. nice shots and all, too blue at times, but pretty much "woooo its a dream... are you scared? feeling."

theres my 2 cents.

Guys--let's chill a bit here. We expect people to be tactful in their critiques and we also expect that filmmakers not be too thin skinned about critiques of their work. Remember the internet maxim--be slow to take offence and slow to give offence.

Conrad, you need to look at other threads before you say things to other people. He's not upset where he placed there was a comment that was said that made it sound racial..... anyway all this matter is closed cause the competition is over with so lets move on.

I'm new here and and am not up to speed on the things you mentioned in your post. However, I early on learned you had won one or more of the prior festivals and that alone would make me respect your talents. Nevertheless, I think that if this community gave you such recognition by choosing to honor your films, you owe it to everyone to avoid such personal attacks.

If that is true, then leave it at that. It sounds like whatever was said got handled. Why bring it up again here with more mean comments?

I'm not trying to provoke you, man. I'm sure I can learn an awful lot from you. I just want to ask you to consider how such flaming makes you appear to those of us who are trying to learn from those of you who are prominent here.

Hope I didn't overstep. Just wanted to give my perspective.
