Hey kids,

Gotta say this is one of the creepyist shorts I've seen. The acting was great, the direction was great and the lighting was nothing short of gorgeous!

So, hats off to you gentlemen.:)

Thanks Conrad. ( awesome job by your parents naming you that.... Sweet name BTW) I learned lighting from Aram Bauman. He taught me how to sculpt shadows.

Check his movie "5b". its really nice.

Seen it! Awsome!

movie was interesting keep me entertained but sometimes the leads face made me laugh for some reason like the one in your banner. when i saw that shot i about piss my self i dunno why. nice creep factor but acting is overly done in parts. good lighting. love the bedroom shot looked like nightmare on elm st shots with ceetain things lit. good job overall.

Leah was scary in realife when we shot that part. She sat inthe corner for about an hour brooding and making herself "mad", and when i was framing her up, her pupils suddenly dialated to FULL open. i nearly shat myslef. it was the ceepiest thing ive ever seen. too bad i didint get it on tape.

Thanks for coming by and the comments!

Ha ha, yeah my ultimate dream would be to have a drunken commentary by all involved. Get the cast and crew, get them all lit, and then comment on the film, the process of making it, etc.

That sounds like a good idea and a lot of fun. The bts commentary featurette on the DVD of The Forty Year Old Virgin was kind of like that with cast and others apparently just wandering in and out of the room while it was being recorded. Amusing and informative in a different sort of way.

Don't know whether it would be weird for me to post a full critique, given that I crewed on your entry. But I did want point out one favorite moment, which Aram mentioned to me as something that caught his attention: the handholding scene with the weird, scary waHH, waHH soundscape. I thought that was totally creepy and a perfect conjunction of the power of the graphic and the auditory. I've always understood, intuitively, that sound and music can be a significant for establishing mood and cohesion and even explanation. But seeing this in action as you shot, cut and finished the film was a real eyeopener. That scene in particular seemed like a great idea when you shot it but then seemed oddly flat when first edited. When you put the sound in, it worked beautifully. I think it's a testament to your skill that you were able to see how this would come together.
