Authorized Dealers - Where to buy

Where are my goodies?

Where are my goodies?

Hey people.
I just bought my second DVX100b from a local merchant in Miami called Videoscope.
cost was $3350.00 - 350.00 rebate from Panasonic = $3000.00
Was the free software, Book and DVD suppose to come in the box, or are they shipped with the rebate. The reason I ask is that if it indeed was suppose to come in box, I didn't get it. With all the talk about graymarket items and scammers, I hope that my camera is legit.
Good thing is that they're local and they don't seem like they're going anywhere soon.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Your camera is not likely to be gray as they are an authorized dealer. Look in the box or in the warranty/instruction book plastic bag. There is supposed to be a piece of paper that tells you how to log in online and claim the book, and software. When you do this, you are also claiming the rebate.

Best,

Jan

SH** I just found the form but
I downloaded the form from panasonic and sent the it off this morning.
What should I do?
I made copies.
Should I send it again although the UPC label is a copy?

where is the best place to buy a dvx100b???????

Newegg.com.

$3,199.99 BEFORE rebate ($2,849.99 after). Awesome to work with and extremely fast.

Is newegg.com really the best place to buy the dvx100b from, even though there not an authorized dealer?

I've read a lot about their services and people's comments about newegg and it seems like a good place to buy it from. But is everything included with the camera from newegg like an authorized dealer? Like the warranty, rebate, 5.4Ah Lithium-ion Battery, etc?

I just wanted to double check before i buy it. Rather be safe than sorry.

Wondering the same thing. I am new here and am planning on purchasing this camera by the end of the week. I have emailed newegg asking if they can guarantee a USA product and warranty. We'll see what happens.

All I can tell you is that I got mine from newegg in August and my DVD and rebate completely as promised, without a hitch. It was the best price offered at the time other than "Guido's Camera Shack" in lovely Brooklyn.

Well, probably; if it's a unit that was bought from an authorized reseller then it would be warrantied in the US.

Check out Leo's Camera, they posted that they were having a big sale on DVXs and they're in Canada.

Yeah, i called Leo's Camera and they said there selling it for $3600 + tax which would be around $4,000 CND. As opposed to getting it from newegg which would cost roughly $3200cnd after rebate. Newegg seems a lot better.

So if i bought it from newegg, i wouldnt be able to use the rebate or the warranty if something were to happen to my camera? I can't send the camera back to the US to get it fixed if i had any problems?

You could send it back to the US for warranty coverage, yes. But as I understand it you wouldn't be eligible for the rebate; I believe the rebate is only for US residents (although someone please correct me if I got it wrong!)

Well... Apparently newegg is an authorized panny dealer now. This was their response to my email:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting Newegg.

Yes, we are an authorized dealer of all the brands of items we sell. For more details on the warranty and rebate information, please contact the manufacturer.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please visit our FAQs page.

Thank you,

Stephen Armas

Hmmmmm....?

Leo's Camera Supply in Vancouver has a discount for the Panasonic dvx100 if your a member of the dvxuser group. How do you become a member or am i already a member by joining this forum?

Hi,

NewEgg is not an authorized vendor for the AG-DVX100B or A or whatever.

Simple enough, they do not have a direct relationship with Panasonic. I have not found that they always sell the US product, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.

Best,

Jan
